My timeline is similar to yours (eCAS shows July 7 as my process-start date), and I received a letter from Buffalo last Friday, which said:

"We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing."

Also, the letter confirmed the receipt of my medical results and indicated "No additional documents are required at this time."

It seems that our files may stay in Buffalo and not be transferred to local consulates.
Nice to see your thread...I was planning to write you soon. Your and my dates are pretty close...nice you received communication from their end...I am still waiting!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi All;

I received a letter from CIC stating that " No additional documents were required ", but there was no indication of medicals received. The letter was dated 11/11.

Also, no update on Ecas

Thanks.

Tony;

Your timeline is very close to mine. Hopefully you will receive some communication this week. Sometimes, the lag is due to the delay in postal delivery.

Stay cool and don't get others worked up! Not sure why you are worried. Are you out of work in the US or at risk of being out of status in the US? If that's not the case, I find it pointless to fret about the status of your CIC file and the delay. Just by having your file transferred to local office doesn't mean that you have seen the end of the tunnel - my case started process in June 2010 and it's been a while since I saw any update apart from the transfer to local office. And I am not alone - quite a few are waiting.

Chin up...

Thanks for your reply, i find your point valid but without knowing anybody's circumstances its very easy to ask to stay cool and not being worried.
Anyways i am on H1B , reaching the end of 5ht year, Company Refused to do GC, the product we work on has been decided to be outsourced in couple of months with big probability that they will not need us. My feelings came out of these reasons.

Hi Jasper,

Did you receive email from Lawyer or did you receive from CIC?

Yes, I understand. Personally, I am not in a very good position right now :-[ This process has been very nerve wrecking.

SS

I know you addressed this to Jasper, but just FYI.

I am going through a lawyer, and the mail ( not email) was sent to my lawyer, who then emailed me a copy.
The letter is dates 11/11, the lawyer recieved it on 11/19, and it was forwarded to me on 11/23.

Thanks.

After receiving email about transfer to Seattle on 11/17, today my eCas status was updated as follows -

We transferred your application to the Seattle office on November 17, 2010. The Seattle office may contact you.

Now Waiting for PPR ....

- Thanks.

My lawyer forwarded the scanned copy of the letter to me by email yesterday. In my case, the letter is dated "Nov 12" and it was received by the lawyer on Nov 19 (I believe this was a regular postal mail).

chigirl and I are applying through the same law firm, so it was the same process.

Has anybody else had their medicals confirmed in the letter they received from CIC?

Thanks.

Hello chigirl,

I got a letter from CIC that had a hand written line 'YOUR MEDICALS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED'. Please refer to my other posts for details.

Hello Jasper,

I am in similar situation and got the same letter as you got from CIC. I too am thinking that our files will not be transfered anywhere and we will soon get our PPR.
