Hey Chigirl,

I guess am the only prominent Rajesh here - and I did not use AVR. I think he is better off contacting despoimmigrant and perhaps looking for his posts.

Cheers,

AbuMalik;

I have personally not crossed the border, so I do not know what documents to carry. But, here's a link on AVRs posted by priya86.

Check posts from priya and rajesh; you might be able to get some information.

Sorry, my mistake. I thought you were involved in that discussion on AVRs.

When did you apply for the PR card? could you please let us know the exact time it took for PR card?

Hi Guys,

I got an email today that my File has been transfered from Buffalo to LA. How long does it take after transfer to get PPR?

Thanks.

PS: Japer Pls update the timeline with my info. Thx.

Hi omar,
I checked right after seeing your post (as my date is just ahead of yours) and presto, I had the transfer email too! Apparently the office is expected to complete processing within 90 days as they mention "Do not request the status of your file within ninety (90) days of the date of this". But we should expect something sooner.
Best!

Congrats Manny and Omar!

Can you please share what your case status is showing in ecas?

Thanks,
L.B

jag123: It should be in the email that you received.

Hi All,

Just got an email from Buffalo that my file got transfered to LA office...Do we know anybody who has recieved PPR request after file tranfer at LA??

Thanks,
Petesampra

I looked at some of the transfer cases status on trackitt and note that it can take anywhere between 3 week to 2 months for PPR after transfer. I think CIC is preparing for the January 2011 visa issuance flood and we should expect PPR in December 2010 and PR visa stamping in Jan 2011.

Thanks Manny,

Can you please tell me what does the subject line say? Just need to make sure it does not get lost in junk.

Hi L.B.

No changes on eCas as Manny mentioned.

The subject of the email is <File Number> NAMES: <Last Name>, <First Name>

The email is from re-buffalo-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca . I guess you can add it to your safe list.
