Just curious, due to my work travel, for people who have went through this, after AOR is received, how long do you have to do and submit medicals?

They do not say that you have to submit medicals by certain date. They recommend to do medials in 60 days.

Thats a good development. Atleast it provides us enough breathing space to be hopeful that some activity is happening at CIC Buffalo. I am one of the July Medicals guys (Meds done on July01, 2010) and am optimistic to hear something in the next 2 weeks.

My Thoughts: It appears that CIC Buffalo is burdened with heavy workload and they are transferring files to regional consulates. Now the question is how much time does it take to hear from the regional office? Well, going by what I heard from friends and their experiences, LA is quite fast and Detriot is the slowest.

Given your situation that your family is in india, If I were you I would personally go to LA office with a copy of the email and ask them for suggestion/advice on the timeline with a special emphasis on the need to make travel arrangements for your family's return to USA for Canadian PR visa stamping.

Based on their advice, you can either arrange to get their passports or reschedule your family members return to USA, as deemed necessary.

It reached on 17 aug.. also i know why they sent my file to LA
because i had visitor visa for canada from LA Consulate.. I strongly feel that this is the reason to move my file there..

My Check Encahsed in the month of 2nd Sep 2010.... they received my file on July 31st...
I am waiting on the acknowledgement from them.....
