Kevinctech, the buffalo office sent me an email to inform me. I specified on my application to contact me by email primarily because it's faster.

Hi Amo1n,

I see that you r a quebec pr and ur case has been transfered to detroit if i am not mistaken.

When did you apply to buffalo, and when did you do your medical exam?

Thanks,

Fellows,

I am living in Alaska and, geographically, it would be more reasonable to transfer my file to Seattle. Maybe, they did not do that since I have FSW application in Seattle office. I was reading in other forums where people are ordering CAIPS that they can see the dates on CAIPS. Somebody commented that those dates on CAIPS mean the dates when officer will review the case again. Therefore, I think, maybe, Buffalo as a head office, can see the workload of each office and transfer the files not only basing on location but also on the workload.

Northern

I think your quote well sums the situation.

"Buffalo as a head office, can see the workload of each office and transfer the files not only basing on location but also on the workload. "

With your adjusted timeline July Folks should get their files transferred around 2nd-3rd week of October and probably by Oct end will get their PPR.

As long as the train keeps on moving nothing to worry.

I got a mail today indicating my file has been transferred to Detroit. Anyone get anything from Detroit recently (additional document request or PPR).

We have been hearing cases of files being transferred to other consulates. Please read the posts for the last couple of days.

I sent in my application to Buffalo sometime in late march. I got AOR on May 27

Hi Justin,

It could be that or it could be because Justin finished his medicals in June which would mean he got his AOR in june. The CIC in the letter sent along with the medicals states clearly that medicals have to be done within 60 days from receipt of the letter or else it would delay the process.

In Justin's case the medicals reached them end of August which is cutting very close to the 60 days deadline and this could have prompted them to transfer the file within a month from receipt of medicals...

:) I am just speculating here ..since previously others have posted that moving to canada does not expedite the process in anyway.

Hi
It seems logical, i just want to throw one more stone in the water...
seems like they are processing the file for to whoever they sent a medical request in june.. now if the pick the file and by chance if the candidate did his/her medical and medical reached ottawa and the officer found it..then they just trasfer the file or do further processing...so i think it does not matter when candidate return them the medical..it should be just there when they start accessing your file..which is by the order they sent you medical request at first place...seems logical ???

We are forgetting the back ground check conducted by CIC as part of the due diligence. If applicant hasn't traveled around much and all PCC/FBI clearances are in place then there's a good chance for their file to move faster. If the applicant gets selected for a detailed check then it may get delayed. These checks may delay process but I think are crucial and necessary.

8)Absolutely bro

I completely agree with your take .Actually am convinced this is exactly what is happening in the above cases of those who got their files trasnferred.

1.CIC buffalo must have started hitting a wall of applications by the end of May.
2.Starting with June AOR submissions they must have started looking at workload and placement of other Consulates.
3.Whenever they started receiving the medicals back from the candidate ,the officer in charge must have said the file is complete
4.And The file would have gotten trasnferred to the closest consulate with less workload .

So this is precisely happening in the order people received their AOR. So if two candidates got AOR this way

Candidate A: Got AOR in june but did medicals in July and sent by August.
Candidate B: Got AOR in july but did and sent medicals in July .

Candidate A will get his file transferred first in the order of granting AOR to make sure his medicals dont expire within the 60 days.
Candidate B's file will be marked complete but will have to wait untill the previous pipeline of June AOR's are assessed.

So all we can do is kick back and relax.
