Chigirl,
How are you? Did you get passport request already?. Thanks

I only wish !! It's been 5 weeks since my medicals reached CIC and no news from them yet. Hopefully I'll hear something in the next 2-3 weeks. So, far none of the people who got their medicals done in July have received their pp requests.

Chigirl,

Your wish will soon be granted!!! Keep us posted.

From other posts I understand that the status changes in eCAS occur after the event. Did these changes to status occur beforehand for you?

Couple of observations for folks who are still waiting -

1) If CIC tracking system gets the line - We started processing your application on MM/DD/YYYY.

Meaning - You are about to get your AOR and Medical request.

2) If CIC tracking system gets the line - Medical results have been received.

Meaning - You are about to the get passport request.

...

You are right. Status changes in eCAS occur after the event but just before the beginning of the next step in the process.

For example, you sent your medical results to CIC. CIC will take anywhere from 1 month to 3 months (just a ball park figure) to update your eCAS with the line "Medical results have been received." The time CIC updates the eCAS with medical results, you get the request for passport.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Chigirl,
I hope we get it soon.....for me its been about 8 weeks now since my medicals reached CIC Ottawa.
There are some people on the forum with their timelines couple weeks further ahead.
I hope this is not a sign of visa numbers for the year reaching close to quota

Just found this list. My timeline

Application sent to Buffalo : May 26, 2010
Check Encashed : July 28
AOR/ Medical Request : Sep 9

Looks like whose medicals reached in June are getting theirs PPR now. My Friend got his request to submit FBI clearance and PPR fees. His medicals reached end of June. Looks like it is aroud 3 months lag. Also the during the end of year they run out of visa numbers and holidays slow down the process a lot.

Most of the June folks already got PPR. I am the only one who is hanging on. My medical was done on 11th June and reached Ottawa on 17th June.

Hopefully we will get ours soon. At this stage, there is no saying how long it will take. On an average for people who got their medicals done in June, its been between 2 and 2-1/2 months. But, then again most of these people had not submitted their PCCs in the first go. There were also a couple of outliers - priya and email2kale, who got their ppr within a month These were exceptions rather than the rule.

Like Manny said earlier, this month we might probably see a large number of requests for passports. Meanwhile, let's keep our fingers crossed - things will work out, I'm sure.

Cheers!!!
