Hi I sent you a Personal Msg, can you please let me know if you went for H1B restamping? how are you stuck in india, I am planning to go to india in nov but worried due to all these reasons.

Hi Manny

My Alberta Nomination Expired in Aug 9th 2010, I sent my application to CIC on June 30th 2010.
Today Aug 31st 2010 I verified with my bank whether the cashiers check has been encashed or not.
They said it is still not encashed. There is only one month left for the expiration of check.

Now I have two concerns
1) My Nomination (AINP) expired will it cause trouble.
2) Though the CIC received my documents they did not encashed will that be detrimental for PR processing

Could you please help me in this ascept with some information......

Thanks
DBat

I believe Cashier's Check are valid for 180 days form the date of issue. Correct me If I am wrong. I am too waiting for my check to be encashed. Reached there July 7th.

Hi, Dbat:

It is quite possible that your check will be cashed in the few days. I mailed to cic on June 10th and my check was chashed on 9th of august. it took exactly two months. Good luck.

What is your online status? Does it say In process or Medicals received?

Waiting for PPR. Probably I may have to wait till Mid October..

I recently got my new passport. I mailed copies of the first two/last two pages. Is that good enough..or Do I have to mail whole copy.

Good luck with your processing..

Is there any aspecific reason for the check to get encashed for 2 months as my friends here told me it will take 4 to 5 weeks to get encashed

Status Updated to : Medicals Received

One question about Medical result delivery:

May I request the DMP office to deliver the medical result to Ottawa by Next day Express service and pay for the fee by myself? or we have to do just according to the DMP office slow delivery service?

Thanks for any input.

it used to take less than one month before June. But most of the june applicants got their check cashed in around 2 month. I think it is the new trend. Just my guess. As long as your applicantion is not returned to you, i suppose you are ok.

Mine is still pending. Applied 25th June. More than 2 months.

thank you guys I understand that.
But what happens if it exceeds 90 days. Since in the check it is mentioned 90 days validity.....
How do we know??

Hi gigi,

I guess you can ask but doctors normally have their own preferrences. Another concern to me is that if you do it by yourself, you will have to take the responsiblit on your own if something happens. But if something happened on doctor's side, that will be totally different. Actually it won't save too much time. I will go with the safe way.

DBat,

My understanding is if they don't return your package in a 4-6 weeks, you shouldn't worry. For my case, I applied back in April and the check was actually cased only in approximately 4 weeks. But I wasn't able to know it until 6 weeks later though I called my bank once a week. There was a 6 weeks lagging period in my bank's tracking system, maybe because it is a local credit union. Your check maight have been cashed. Ask your bank what lagging period of the tracking system is. Hope this helps.
