Please let us know the process you followed.

Thanks

I doubt if it gets update in 3 weeks. My ecas got updated after 7 weeks. And the day it got updated i received an email asking for passport.

iAlberta,

Did your medical reach Ottawa. Usually if they receive it ecas gets updated within 3 weeks, saying Medical received . What does your online status say?

Justin

I always feel surprised when i hear this three month validity period of FBI report.

Police/FBI report can not be valid beyond the time-stamp on the record certificate (personal opinion).

Your posts are very detailed and helped me immensely during the CIC app process , have wanted to say this for a long time but keep on forgetting :).

I will try to update my status in the tracker as well . Thanks for reminding about the 3 month validity period ...If I understand this correctly the certificate would be valid if it is dated within a 3 months window prior to the submission date.In my case the application reached on May 12th , the FBI certificate even though came in June was dated March 23rd ...hopefully this means it is valid.... :'(do not want to go through FBI hassle again.

canadatryingguy,

when are you planning to land? Could i possibly ask for your noc code if possible. Thanks.

True, as much as it sounds odd, the timing of applicant's request vs. time for FBI to process/send the clearance certificate requires CIC to accept FBI report that was issued no more than 3 months before the CIC application was filed. So in effect the FBI certificate is "valid" for 3 months after it is issued as far as CIC is concerned. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EP76.asp "The certificate must have been issued no more than three months prior to submitting your application". There's no issue in sending a fresher PCC and that's why CIC accepts FBI reports sent after the application as they are the latest!

lightsinthemist, thanks for your kind words. I'm just reciprocating good deed done by other members by sharing their experiences in this forum that I benefited from.

Hello Joseph,
I did my medicals at

Mountain View Clarence Allegakoen 305 South Drive, Suite #6, California, 94040 - 650-810-5701 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 650-810-5701 end_of_the_skype_highlighting

He was great. It was $400 out the door, and he sent the results within a week by express mail to Canada..

Thanks

Alberta stopped accepting applications under US visa category and changed the total processing time to 28 months. Check AINP website..

It's probably for new applications. Since you guys have already recieved your nominations, your probably good.

chigirl, i have the same timeline like u, my medicals reached ottawa on July 28, but i haven't heard anything yet (no email, no mail for additional docs, ecase still shows in process).
did you get anything new?

As a very rough pattern, the few who got PPR this month received it on Monday/Tuesday. Not seen any report of having received PPR this week, till now :-(
Wishing some folks get it today !

I Just have the following line in the application status page.....

We started processing your application on May 19, 2010.
