According to the timeline. Most people got their additional docs request a week after AOR. But if you sent expired fbi, they might not even request it again.

so when they need additional docs, when do they request for it? after medicals?

I see a number of folks in trackitt where the doc request was much after CIC getting the Med reports. This includes arajesh5 . I hope you're right on the timeline of 1 week after AOR or the dates I am seeing on trackitt is for other non-H1B AINPs.

Yeah i dont know how to approach the fbi clearance thing anymore, this is the 3rd time it gets rejected (tried 3 different fingerprinting places). would it be a problem, if i don't send the fingerprints report? since they already have the expired one?

If they dont request it then you should be good. Are u getting ink fingerprints? if so try livescan. those usually dont get rejected.

for FBI you can only do ink fingerprints, livescan is for the state.
??

I don't know how much time u lost between those 3 tries with FBI

I would suggest sending 3-4 prints, each from different finger print agents

It will cost u, but it seems u r's is a unique case

this is what i did, i sent 6 prints on the last try from 3 different finger prints agents. :(

why don't u call the FBI washington office and tell them u r sorry story

tell its for immigration for canada and u r in a time critical situation

they might have dealt with few cases like u r's

try calling early morning, as soon as they open door

i called today, and they said nope, we can't read the fingerprints.
i told them i was cleared like a year ago, just use that, they said they can't.
I said do a name check, they said they can't.
they said i have to send again.
so if cic asks again for fbi, i am screwed, if not i am good.

did you say fbi washington? of fbi virginia? the same place we send the requests to?

Hello Bibo,
My friend had similar situation and his immigration attorney adviced him that sending 3 rejections on the basis of ur finger prints being unreadable by the FBI. CIC generally accepts 3 rejections in similar situations. Also on the third attempt FBI may have sent you a letter that your finger prints are not readable hence you need to try alternative routes to achieve your objectives. This letter sould be ok with the CIC.

again, this is what my friend was adviced by his immigration attorney.

Good luck with the approached which you have already adopted.

that is true, that is what i got from fbi about the alternative routes to achieve objectives...
so i should be fine then with this letter.
thanks a lot for your good response. i am happy now :)

Quick question. Do we need to send passport size photos to CIC for additional family members like father, mother and siblings since they request that you indicate your parents' and siblings' names.

IMM 0008 is for family. (wife & kids) need pictures.

IMM 5406 is for additional family (parents, bro, sister) and there are no pictures needed for additional family.
