Your status on ecas will say that medicals recieved, after you click on the "in process" link. It can take 2-3 weeks after your Mede reached Ottawa

(Is there any ways to find about this.)

Thanks

Hi - You can call Medical Centre(where you did) to know the status and ask for tracking no.

Most of them do send them through fedex.

Good Luck

Hi - BTW, my CC for RPRF is still outstanding as of now.

I am in the process of sending CIC Application. Is it mandatory to send the AINP original nomination certificate. CIC website says not required but I remember seeing somewhere in Buffalo specific website where it says to send the nomination certificate along with application.

Thanks

You have to. And don't forget to place the AINP sticker on the envelope....
See point #4 under B here: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/quebec_prov_hints-conseils.aspx?lang=eng
And it is also mentioned in the certificate.

Why would you not want to send the original???

Folks,

Glad to hear that March,April,May are getting medical request.

Thanks for the clarification. I will be sending the original nomination certificate.
I have one more question at this moment. I have PCC from my country embassy and waiting on FBI reports. Do I need to apply for state PCC too? I have been staying in my current US state for around 3 yrs now.

Thanks

guys....

I received the file number and the medical request today.
I am in Florida. When I checked the cic website for doctors, found 4 of them.
2 are in my insurance network. Does any one know if this medical exam is covered by insurance or if not, then how much is the cost here in Florida?

appreciate every feedback...

thanks,
SG

CIC may or may not ask for state PCCs. If you do not submit it along with your application, there is a possibility they may come back and ask for it later. You have to get certificates from all states where you have lived for more than 6 months.

Mostly it is not covered, but there are a few insurance companies that do cover any/orpartial medical cost, so call your insurance. It is definitely covered under flex spending account, if you have that.

I submitted my application to CIC on April 14th, But I have not got the medical yet. My check was cashed on 05/05/10. I see some of the forum member already got their medical who submitted to CIC after me. Should I contact CIC? Or I should wait another week? please advice.......I am warried.

Here are few points -

1) Go to insurance network.
2) Doctor is not going to accept your insurance. So you might end up paying from your pocket.
3) Ask the receptionist to send you the itemized list of medical tests performed on you.
4) Go to your insurance company's website and download the 'Claim-summary' form.
5) Fill the form and send/fax it to your insurance company.

Insurance company may pay you back depending on your deductible.

Hope it helps..

WOW.

I am so glad to have discovered this forum. I can save a few bucks if the insurance pays me and use it for a trip to the parlour !
