Thanks for all your help so far guys. I have another situation here. I got some more information from other threads. I am still posting my question to get other views.
As I said earlier, I received medicals yesterday. My wife is pregnant and she is due in 1 month. I came across two different views for this situation. We can do partial medical right now and finish rest later. One user ("Rajesh" if I remember correctly) did this and they received a letter from CIC on a later date to submit rest of the medical. Or we can do complete medical after our baby born. I guess I will call AINP and CIC right away to include our baby into the application and go from there. Also, I guess I can ask CIC for more time also right now so that we can do all medical together.
What you guys think here?

Hi, I just want to share my experience with you. We were in the same situation as you are, We did our medicals partially and send it to otawa. We already informed CIC about it when we came to know about pregnancy. Now after the delivery i.e was July 1st, we received an email from CIC to send Baby's birth certificate, passport , fees and addition to family form. We havent got Birth certifiacte till yet as it takes 1 month in Los Angeles to apply for the certificate. So we are waiting to get Birth certificate for the baby.
After sending these documents to the CIC they will send us Medical form for the baby and Xray form for spouse.
Hope it help u to understand the process.

Kumar2010,
Did you check encashed? How long it took?

Hi folks,
My CIC application has been recieved on June'01,2010

Still my cashier's check was not cashed (I called BOA today)...How long it will take...

ChaloCanana, Priya and other senior members,
I saw somewhere about google url? What is that? Do we have any google group?

According to spreadsheet time line, the last check cashed for a person who sent his application on May 22.

I am not that far in the visa process. When I called doctor's office today to make an appointment, receptionist lady told me that they are not that picky about the size of the photo. If I can bring photo close enough to the size of the photo on Section A, that would be ok.

Hi, I have to get the medicals done this week and still am confused what photos to take the Medicals read to bring 2 passport size photos, the doctors office sugested to bring regular US Passport photos, Omar from the forum suggested it would be the photo size that we sent with our immigration application. Can somebody who has successfully got the Visa stamped suggest the appropriate photo size. This would answer lot of people waiting to get their Medical done I guess.

Thanks.

True, typical American passport size photos (2x2) that you get in AAA or Walmart will be good enough.

Thanks a lot PATOAB and Manny, I confirmed with my lawyer and she suggested to use the same size photos that I sent with the CIC Application

Something about AVR (I found it somewhere on internet)

Automatic Visa Revalidation
US Department of State regulations permit certain non-immigrants to re-enter the United States after a 30-day or less visit to Canada, Mexico, or other adjacent islands (other than Cuba) without having to obtain a new visa prior to re-entry. This is called automatic visa revalidation (AVR).

Automatic revalidation applies in two ways.

1. If you have a visa sticker in your passport that matches your current status, but has expired, that visa sticker is considered to be automatically revalidated to a current date for your return to the U.S.

2. If you have changed status while in the U.S., and you have a visa sticker that matches your old status (either expired or unexpired), that visa sticker is considered to be automatically changed to a stamp matching the new status and revalidated to a current date for your return to the U.S. even though it is not the same as your current status and has, perhaps, expired.

Individuals seeking to benefit from this provision must retain their I-94 when leaving the U.S. as it is essential for re-entry. In addition, all other travel documents relevant to the particular status (passport, DS-2019 for J-1s, I-797 for H-1Bs etc.) must be carried and properly endorsed. When requesting a travel letter from the International Services Office, please state that you will be using the AVR program so your letter may reflect this.

Individuals traveling on passports issued by Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, North Korea and Cuba may not benefit from this provision. Anyone who is visiting Canada or Mexico in order to apply for a new visa may no longer benefit from automatic revalidation. Please note that persons in H status are only eligible for automatic visa revalidation in Canada and Mexico and not in the adjacent islands. Check the U.S. State Department Website for the most recent information.

You can print telegram from following link,Its good to have with you in case IO is new and now aware of AVR rule.
