Hello all,

I am new to the forum and realized this is the link to add my timeline to the google docs.
Here it goes:

Sent application to AINP: May 1st 2009
Received email for additional docs: March 30th 2010
Received nomination: 21st June

Have recived my FBI clearance: 5/19/2010(had sent it in advance)
Waiting for Indian PCC(sent on 6/23/2010)

I was wondering what the timeline is for Indian PCC. And any pointers where to obtain photos for the CIC application.

Thanks

Depending on which embassy you sent it to, normally it is 60 days.

Regarding photos, you normally cannot get photos to CIC specifications either at Walgreens or your local Kinkos. I went to a local Indian photographer in Chicago. They are more flexible. I got mine without even having to explain the details.

Hi,

You can try www.epassportphoto.com with the following steps.

1. Take a picture using any camera and by following CIC specifications.
2. Upload to the site and it will let you select and format the picture for you.
3. Dowload and print it at home or at walmart on a 4x6 size to give you tiled pictures that you can cut.

Make sure you print extra copies as DMP recomend to have the same at the medicals.

I did the same with two of my colleagues who applied for CIC along with me, non of us had any problems and application was accepted at CIC. Cost less than a buck !

Thanks,

L.B

Hi folks,

I applied for AINP in 2009 in US. Now I am in Calgary with work permit visa. Because I work in medical field, I did medical examination (exactly the same as immigration medical exam and sent to Ottawa) in March 2010 before I got the visa and entered Canada. Today I received AOR and medical request for me and my families from Buffalo. I know I don't have to do medical exam again, but I was wondering how and who should I contact Buffalo to let them know, and what is the process of that? Thank you!

Image000,
Well only after reading the email of other users like Priya and Candien, I realized that i should not wait for them to specifically ask for RPRF, and so I had sent my MO last week, I checked with my bank and it has not been cashed yet.
I am hoping it to be cashed next week, any idea how long does it take after the check is cashed to get an Email request for Passport ?

hsetin,

Did they already cash you RPRF fee , If so how long it took once CIC received your RPRF ?

Thanks,

My lawyer received AOR from Buffalo today. But the email from my lawyer was like an automatically-generated message and it was just to inform me that there was a communication from Buffalo with AOR today. I'll update here as soon as I find what was included in the letter from Buffalo (hopefully Medical request).

I also received the same email from the laywer. Hopefully it is Medical Request.

On IMM008 Generic 2nd page "You must include your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, and all of your dependent children, and those of your spouse or common-law partner, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of canada."

You dont have to send any photos of your parents or your sister.

I need an advise on landing and using AVR. I know couple of senior members did their landing and came back on AVR. My situation is my 6 years of H1b expired and I got an extension of 3 more years based on approved I-140 (didn't yet filed 485). If I use AVR while coming back to US would there be a question asked as to why I am planning to hold double PR as a I already have canadian PR and still waiting for US PR based on 140.

Appreciate your response.

Thanks

That doesn't work ell.bee except your idea will have papers back to his home. There is a reason why they have provided a photo specification page where CIC expect photographer to read everything and take pictures in light, white background with raised chin. There are specific distance details which must be followed.

AG fyi.... My application was accepted and check encashed. One of my colleague also got her AOR after submitting the pics using that site.
