Hi Everybody,

Today I received letter from CIC regarding Medicals. I applied to CIC in April 2010 without FBI,PCC. They didn't asked about FBI,PCC(this is my initial conclusion i.e I didn't see the papers yet because am in Austin right now. Where as documents received to Atlanta, where my wife staying there). My wife coming to Austin next week.

So my questions is :
Do we need to go specific location (i.e Atlanta/Austin), specific doctor, etc ?

No, you can do medicals at any CIC listed Doctor. However try to do all family members at the same location.

I had sent documents to add my daughter to my application on June 24th, 2010 along with RPRF fees for application fee for my daughter.
Today received my daughters medical request form dated Jul 2nd.

Hi,
I received my Medicals forms yesterday from CIC! I will schedule and do my meds only next week as I am sick with a viral infection now :-(
Jasper/rao please include in your next update. Thanks guys. feels good to be offering you an update on my case, finally! You will soon have the pleasure of updating your own info too I'm sure. Best of luck.

Dear Friend:

You call it struggle?

This is the easiest permanent residency you are getting. You don't need to have a job offer from Canada. You don't need to have an educational degree from Canada. You don't require any ESL test. Above all, you don't need to be in Canada to get it...

And this easiest permanent residency is a struggle for you?

I hope that the degree of struggle never goes above the waiting associated with this permanent residency for the rest of your life.

Dear Rajesh..
heartily congrats dude!! I was waiting for your post since yesterday from 11.30 AM alberta time!!:)
Hope sometime we all will meet at Alberta and remember this time of wait n struggle!!

Those who have applied in this program needed an H1B, and were working on H1B in USA surviving in the toughest economy last year (Remember to maintain status till you get nomination!!) so they have weathered all those storm!! I am not saying just this waiting is struggle..! its relatively easy to get\pass ESL or educational degree from canada then to survive in US or get MS in US and getting H1B without knowing when or where you will be thrown!
I hope you understand the wide meaning of struggle its not just limited to this PR, all other in this forum who did that will understand it.. anyway what you said is your opinion and what I said is mine, i dont want to fight on this and this is not also a right forum for that..!
So if you can add some value or give some useful information including congratulating and giving support to others then do it else just keep shut no point in writing or arguing just for the sake of doing it !! :)

May all your wishes come true...

Hey Arajesh,

Hearty Congratulations!!!!
Am so Happy to see your message and learn the good news of your PR Landing. Congrats once again.

Thanks to all the forum members whose enthusiastically helped you with needed information and thanks to you for sharing your experiences.

GOOD LUCK !!

Folks - Just a thought. Though this thread and forum serves as a treasure of information for the PR process, yet I am wondering if we can we have a online community (say orkut community) for AINP folks so that we create a network with a directory(Address, Contact info, occupation) and be of help to each other before and after landing in Canada.

This thought occured me to based on the help rendered by Srini_72 to ARajesh (with an Alberta Address.) Frankly speaking, I know no one in Alberta and I would have to depend on you folks (landed PR's) for help at a later stage. Am sure there are many like Srini_75 Who wish to volunteer.

It's just a thought. Please share your thoughts.

Thanks

Avalap;

I totally endorse your suggestion and I am willing to help any way I can.

Thanks.

You "MUST" submit your address to CIC for PR card mailing within 6 months from the day you land.

Thanks arajesh,,,,I was guessing that if i dont apply for PR card with some time period say 6 months ,my PR status fall in jeopardy...Is it true..

Please any one reply me...
Thanks

hey satya.... congrats first of all. and thank you for your wishes.....

Well you can give any address in canada to receive PR card within 6 months. It does not matter if they found out that you are in CANADA or US. They need address in Canada to mail your PR cards. I heard in toronto you can pick up PR card in person also. I did not know that while i was in toronto. But one of my friend landed in toronto from India and he went there to pick up PR card in person ( no idea which office it is but it is toronto downtown). i wish i could have tried that when i was in toronto. It would be fantastic that way that WE do not have to have address just to get PR cards.

I do not have fax number in office but i will send you personal message in the evening with fax number once i reach home.

good luck.

Hello everybody?
I'm going tomorrow to pick up my PR card at 55 St. Clair Ave. East, Toronto.
I'm not familiar with that area. Do they have a parking place? Or it is
better to get there by subway?

Thanks.

Priya,
Is it saying "In Process" or "Decision Made" on the main page in Ecas?
