Hi Everyone,

I was checking timelines of other Provincial nominations apart from Alberta - Quebec, Sasketchwan, BC etc. and found that their processing times with CIC are much more quick.

Already some applicants waiting for nominations have their hearts broken 'coz Alberta has stopped giving IT related nominations. So could it be the case that Alberta has asked CIC to go slow on processing its provincial nominees?

Surely there is no definite way to know what is conspiring there at CIC which can explain the delays, just my 2 cents.

PaToAb ,

Yes We need to attach the check list as per the other members of the forum .

Thank you
Virgo

Guys,

On the second page of E37048.pdf, is says that "attach the checklist to your
photocopied documents (a paper clip will do)." check list on this pdf is like 5 pages long. Do we need to attach this check list with our application? or is there a smaller checklist? or may be there is no need to attach it at all.

Thanks in advance

Hello Friends,

Have not visited this forum from last few months . Can someone please update me with the time frame , How long it takes now to get a PR once application is filled to CIC

Here is my updates

NOC -2147
AINP file # received – 03/20/2009
AINP Nomination Received – 11/18/2009
CIC Received – 02/16/2010
Check Cashed on – 03/01/2010

My lawyer submitted our application to CIC but they sent it back..asking for proof that i have maintained h1b status. So we had to resend the application with our I-94 card proving that. Did anyone else have a similar issue?

Zaveri,

when did you submit and when did they come back with this query ?

I don't remember sending I-94 to CIC, this is something new, because it was not on Buffalo checklist.

Can anyone tell me the fax number where I can send my address in Alberta. I filled in online form twice but still no luck with PR card. Also I tried call centre but it says it cannot accept outside Canada #s. Can anyone send me the fax form (address notification for PR card)?

Inge, if you have any of this info let me know.

The photocopy of visa (in our case, H1-B visa, I-797, etc) is one of the required documents because we live in a country different from our nationality. It is a part of "4. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORTS" section of Buffalo Checklist.

If you live in a country different from your nationality, include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live.

This could be either I-94 or I797 or Both.

I have not submitted I-797 to show valid H-1B. I think I will also get my packet back.As after getting nomination, I recently moved to EAD status one and half month after getting nomination. Will this be a problem?

If you a valid visa to stay in USA, then i think you should be fine. Hope you have sent them all the copies of previous/existing visa stamp pages of passport.

I have valid EAD not visa stamp. But I send them all pages of passport which hold my previous visa stamps.I was on H1B and I had valid I-797 upto April 2010. But it void now as I moved to new company using EAD. I think I will provide them copy of EAD and I-797 if they ask me .

Thank you Virgo for answering this, however it is little late. I sent my application this afternoon without check list. Is there anyone out here whose application actually came back for not attaching check list? I don't think there is anything I can do at this point anyway other than hoping for best.

PatoAb,

I don't think your application will be returned just because you haven't include your check list.If your cheque is cleared you are good.My friend application has been returned as he didn't fill the application properly in his background cheque dates.

Thank you
Virgo
