@ Despo
Good Job...........................
The big question how many has NY
given this year so far and why have they stopped.
Baffalo strated issuing yesterday or rather we should say
they never stopped (they are just slow in processing)
Anyway you don't need to find answer to all this
cos you don't work in NY CONSULATE.
The waiting continues.

The new year is only 3 weeks away. Take it easy and enjoy the holidays:)

Hi,

My file got transferred to LA Consulate today...Not sure why it was not transferred to buffalo as that it is the closest to me...

Mouli

You should be very happy you dont want bafflo to handle your file. baffalo is the slowest in processing. LA is super duper fast..........faster than NY and future applicant wants to select Seattle option when send application to Baffalo. They are even faster than LA.

Thanks Despo...I don't remember choosing LA anytime...but as per your message seems good to me..just keep waiting :-)

It has to include spouse and children. There is no way a country like Canada could take it in 1 million new people each year.

Thanx venky for taking my night Job ( doing re-search on that ) now what would i do once i reach home? lolz

Hi Despo,

Do we really get an option to choose, which office can handle our CIC case ?

I thought the default is buffalo

It sounds like the AINP or whatever PNP process you are going through has asked for more documents before it nominates you. Nomintation and Passport Request are two different things. Unless you provide more info, it is hard to answer your question.

You get to choose on the paper, what they would not follow the rule. By default you are supposed to send to Buffalo, if you are living in the US or you have a choice to send it to your home country or the visa post that takes care of the applicants from your home country.

On the paper (when I sent my application to Buffalo), I chose Seattle and the nearest visa post from where I live was Los Angeles and my file got transferred to New York City. So, the Buffalo people decide where your file goes to.
