After months of followups with Ottawa Medical Center and CIC NYC, I think there is something just round the corner

"Dear Mr. [XXXXX],

All the medicals results have been received at our office. Your file appears ready for final decision and will be reviewed by the officer.

A letter advising you of additional pending documents and / or requirements will be mailed to you accordingly.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Immigration Section | Section d'Immigration"
There is still some suspense in the letter mentioned above. :( Does anyone know what this means; a PPR or some more documentation?

Hoping to hear soon.

Is that e-mail from the Ottawa Medical office or from the NY Office? If it is from the NY office, looks like your PPR is on its way. Congratulations!

Thanks Nix1
It is an email response from CIC NYC to my query regarding status update.

I hope PPR is on its way. I keep my fingers crossed until then.

hey chow - have u reached Canada??
I was wondering the same thing too. It is interesting that people once enter Alberta, stop posting here. I thought Alberta has Internet service too? There was another gentleman (Yarlandy, sorry don't remember the exact spelling) who was going to take 48 hours road trip and was going to share his experience here after he reaches Alberta, but never happened. Nomad_Musafir, once the PPR came through, never came back. I still see AKK and Ingegarcia coming here and posting once in a while. Thanks guys for doing that. I hope Sukhminder is not going to forget us too once he reaches Alberta this weekend.

By the way, I am not trying to say you MUST come back here and post your experience etc., but would be nice to know how everything went for those of us who are waiting. At the end, it's your life, you can do whatever you want.
Nix1,
I was caught up in some personal business, and could not get on the forum. I sent our passports 3 weeks ago, and received it back within 15 days. We have got until mid of next year to do our landing, and that is when we plan on doing it as it'll get warmer by then.

Hello,
Just have a small question. I am about to send my application to CIC, and thought I should ask whether I need to send "Certified Copies or Attested copies" of supporting documents such as Birth Certificate, Educational Degree Certificate, Passport copies etc.

Thanks much in Advance!

Nomad_Musafir,

Welcome back! Glad to have you back here. Yeah it was nice to receive the PPR after a long wait (not as long as some of the guys, but I was not lucky like you). Anyway, I am still debating if we should land this November or wait until June-July next year. They should give me until Jul 15, 2010 to land as my medical was done Jul 15 this year.

You need notarzied copy of all documents with your application except for Police clearnece ( This has to be orriginal )

Bank does notary.

i dont know for AINP u need to attached educational and work exp. related letters.
i did not include anything related to education or work to CIC. I did it for nomination process.

hope this helps.
Good luck with your application.

Thank you!

Still scouting the lay of the land, trying to network into the area first before actually moving there. December, obviously, is not an ideal time to relocate to Calgary of all places, but those are the breaks. Still looking into various moving companies and the like.

The good news is the market is showing sings of life, very little, but there nonetheless.

Thanks despoimmigrant,

My medical reached Ottawa in first week of April. We were asked to re-submit x-rays sometime in May (I guess) and third request was for submitting one of the missing reports for my son which was re-sent by end of August. Medical center, where our medicals were done, had screwed up.
My ecas status still reads "In process" :(

Thanks,

Just read this, was busy last couple of days.
Nix, your blog is indeed very helpful to novices and experienced alike. Good job man!!

I am just re-posting it so that many of us can make most out of it. And ppl who read the forum, just one suggestion - look under EACH MONTH as to what Nix has to say about the process, that is his personal experience of the process

Karl,

Just relax and drink a lot of water for next few days. Do not drink beers and sodas and if you can stop smoking for a while (if you smoke), that would help. The best thing is to relax and take it as a normal routine check up. It would help if you know what normally happens during the test. Being familiar with the process makes you relax and not worry too much. If you want to read what normally happens during the test, please read my blog. But keep in mind that not all the DMPs follow the exact procedure as it is described in the DMP Handbook. But all of the DMPs will make sure the main check ups and tests. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
