But Nix, how will the Doctor know anything about my wife's medical history?
The DMP will start his test from scratch and had no way to check which doctor has my wife referred to in the past. Please advise.
There is a medical history form that every person needs to fill out asks questions that pretty much cover everything about the past medical history of that person. But it is up to you how much you want to disclose or keep a secret. Some people tell everything and some people do not tell everything because they are worried about having to go through more tests and may be get rejected due to this. Yes, the DMP will not know anything about your past medical history and doctors, unless you tell him. If there are obvious signs that you had medical history, then he will definitely asks for your regular doctor's name and reports from him.

Hey Despo,
small correction. My Medical were sent from Doctor's offce 11 sep. Reached Ottawa 14th.
I'm single. Maybe that's the reason it is little faster. less paperwork to check.

CIC Buffalo started my process in January 2009. I am still waiting on PPR.
ECAS is never updated and this program is useless.

I had to contact CIC office 10 times for them to tell me that my medical is received. Background check is the issue. They have been doing the check for so long.

Funny part, I am not even old enough to have this long period of check.

The whole process is so fishy !!!

I heard that the more countries you travel to the longer the background check.

I travel around, but I am sure not more than most of the guys here. I am just sooo baffled by the delay.

I feel so unlucky !!! Why my file has to be stuck????

Don't worry man, you are nearly there!

Think of all the poor souls who applied to AINP in late December 2008, and January 2009 who are stuck with just a file number and nothing more. Not that their misery should make you feel any better! You are probably in a better place than most and you should be getting your PR soon.

Cheers,

Hi everyone,
I just signed up for the forum today; but I have been reading it regularly for the last few weeks.
Basically I'm in the same boat as most other people here......I applied for PNP (for BC) last year, got nominated in January, sent my application to Buffalo in March. I got my medicals in June, and got 'em done on June 13/09. My file is at buffalo and has not been transferred. I should point out that I'm already in Canada on a post graduation work permit.
My e-cas has been sitting at "We started processing your application on May 29, 2009" ever since. It's been four months since I did my medicals and I still don't see an e-cas update to "Medicals Received".
I sent an email to buffalo last week and they replied saying that medical results have been received and that my file is in line for review. And they told me not to rely on e-cas as it is not always up to date - the standard email reply.
One thing different for me is that buffalo asked me to provide a RCMP police certificate based on fingerprints back in June as well. I did that in June and have verified from RCMP that the results were sent to buffalo in June as well.
So just waiting for the next step now.

One of my friend from India he has a common Islamic name. He applied before me and still Buffalo is doing background checks on him.

Friends,

I waited enough for this CIC process and still no light. My Ecas shows under process since January. God knows when it will come. I got my UK Tier 1 visa today (just took a week for whole process) and planning to move this year end.

I shall keep visiting this forum till then and again(sporadically) after that. I shall be happy to give any info on UK Tier 1 if you PM me.

Good luck for those still waiting.
