any one in this forum finished medical and waiting for PPR pls. share the time line...

JENNYSEC,

I am waiting for PPR, but I may get FBI certs request as my old ones are already expired, also I am yet to pay RPRF.

Application sent to Buffalo - Sep 2010
AOR - April 2011
Medicals done - May 2011
File Transferred to NY - Last week of Aug 2011
There has been no change in Status till now, It says "Application Received"

My address was missing earlier and it came back in 2 or 3 days.. then file got transferred to NY, and now my Address is missing again.

Thanks.

Hello Sri19,
you mentioned your FBI certificate might have expired? what was the date which you received? Is it valid for one year from the time they mention in it?

Quick question once one gets the nomination from AINP under the US visa holder category does the CIC require that the person maintains H1 status. Can someone please help.

I think they (CIC) only need you to be in job at least one year.

This line below...when you send the nomination certificate to CIC do they come back and ask to see if the person is still on H1 or does this just end at AINP and after you have your nomination if you lose your job and lose the H1 does that after your application at CIC? Please help.

•You must be currently working in the United States and possess a valid visa in one of the following temporary skilled worker visa categories: H-1B, H-1B1, H-1C, E-3 at the time the AINP makes a final decision on the application.

I think you do not need to maintain H1b status once you got nominated. there were people who left US and came back on B2 to do their stamping in Buffalo. Chigirl(looks like she has deleted her profile/posts on this form) is one of them. I remember she left to India and went to UK as she got work permit over there and applied for US b2 visa from there, came to Buffalo for stamping, and landed in Alberta. so I think it should be fine. try to send a Personal message to any of the seniors like AlbertaGovernor, they should give you correct info.
