I need urgent help with the PR card photo spec. I can not find any place that takes the picture with date on the back. as per PR card requirement I have to have the date printed on the back. Here are the spec:
The two photos must:
•show a full front view of the person's head showing full face centred in the middle of the photo;
•be clear, well-defined and taken against a plain white background without shadows;
•be produced from the same unretouched film or from the same file capturing the digital image or from two identical photos exposed simultaneously by a split-image or multi-lens camera;
•be original photos (not taken from any existing photo);
•New: measure between 25 mm and 30 mm (1” and 1 1/5”) from chin to crown (top of hair);
•have a 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8″ x 1 3/4″) finished size;
•be on photographic paper that has a backing which accepts and retains the date. Photos without this backing are not acceptable;
•be on prints that are well-fixed and washed to prevent discolouration;
•bear the date the photo was taken (not the date the photo was printed) directly on the back of one print (stick-on labels are not acceptable).
I am planning to land this comming week but don't know where to go for the picture with date on the back. I live in minneapolis, MN area.
Anybody who has done the landing and got the PR card. Please advice.
Take a picture of yourself outdoor. There should not be a shadow and that can be done out doors with a back white backgroud. Try using a white chart paper for background. The paper should be enought to cover the background behind head and shoulders.
Use any digital camera 4mp or more, avoid using flash to avoid shadow of ears and head. That is why outdoor is recommened on a bright day, not sunny. Cloudy is better for even light distribution.
Use epassportphoto.com select Canada as country and select 3.5 x 4.5 size to format your pictures.
Download the image and print it in 4x6 photo size to give you 7 copies.
You can print in any walmart or sears self printing booth and cut them to 7 pictures in 3.5 x 4.5 size.
