chigirl said:Yes. Hope to have it by the 3rd or 4th week of Feb. Unfortuantely, it takes about 8 weeks.
Yes, I ordered from caipsnotes.com. I think its their normal processing time. They said the request to I think their office in Ottawa, who then sends it to Buffalo. And I guess the delay is in Buffalo.Unique12 said:Hello Chigirl, do you know why the caips notes request take 8 weeks now? Did you order them from caipsnotes.com? I think it takes 45 days at most there.

I came across an article by David Cohen and thougth to share it with you all.
It's an interesting article about chosing the correct Canadian visa office (or say eligibility )for submitting the PR application.

Hope this helps.
Not sure what exactly you mean. But, there are people who have left the country after they submitted their applications and have gotten passport requests. In any case, most applicants are still in the country.lee26 said:Is this something causing delays to many
It is important to note that once your file has been accepted by a visa office for processing, it will continue to be processed at that visa office even if you leave the country. This can be a problem if a visa office calls you for an interview and you are not able to return to that country. Failure to attend an interview can result in the refusal of the application. In such a case, visa offices are not obliged to transfer applications. Visa offices will usually only transfer applications to maintain “program integrity.” This usually means that they will only transfer applications when they feel they are unable to effectively evaluate the supporting documents.

You don't need to wait for your PR card to get registered, I didn't have it when I do mine, just show your passport with the CORP and that's itDKSCHOWDARY said:How do I register for the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP)?
