It will not matter if your wife's is a fresh one. You are the primary applicant and her application to immigrate is based on yours. If your FBI is expired ,CIC will request new ones. They seem to be strictly enforcing rules now in the past few months .

Manny

Thanks for wisely pointing that out. With the delay in PPR's people are on the edge and will start new FBI apps again in turn clogging the line for urgent cases like BIBO and other AINP nominees who might be just starting out the process for CIC.

:)Again wats up with the gloom and doom on the forum. People all of us will get it , just stay positive.

Three cheers jpadz! I know you've been waiting a long long time for this! (More than a year after you sent your Medicals?)

Anybody know how to apply for FBI from India (outside US). My medicals reached Ottawa on August 1st week. I am in India now and not planing to go back to US,.. I sent FBI with the original application, but the certificates expire in July...Don't know how can I get FBI certificate from India in case if they ask for it again. .

First of all, my understanding is you should be fine as long as the certificate has been issued no more than 3 months before you submit your application.

We were stuck in a long background check. And I don't know why.
Well, what matters is that it's finally over. And we just want to move on now.

Thank you everyone!
