Sardar Jee - Did the doctor collected the file number ( B number ) stickers from you. I have completed my medicals and forgot to provide them the stickers that CIC has provided. Just want to check whether the doctor the stickers or not.

Hi cooldeepforyou,
Actually I finished accounting courses and I got a diploma in Calgary.
After that, I got an open working permit.
That's why, I got a job in Calgary and I was able to apply for AINP.
If you have more questions, please let me know.
Thanks

P.S; yes I know I'm not SRS-U.S. Visa Holder Category but I think once we are submitting to cic it will be same.
I hope I'm allowed to share information in this forum.

Just got an email from AINP asking to start looking into getting license in Alberta

"
Working in Alberta as a foreign trained engineer
Congratulations on your successful nomination for permanent residency through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program. To facilitate the transition into your profession, here is occupational information on how to obtain a license to practice engineering in Alberta. If you have not already done so, we strongly advise that you begin this process while you are waiting for the result of your permanent residency application to the federal government of Canada.

Each province and territory in Canada is responsible for issuing licenses to practice engineering. All individuals, either Canadian trained or internationally educated, who intend to work as an engineer in Alberta must by licensed by the Association of Professional Engineering, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).

APEGGA has the authority and responsibility to regulate the practice of engineering within Alberta. In order to obtain a license to practice, APEGGA must evaluate your qualifications.

A major component of the engineering sector in Alberta is the consulting engineering industry. The Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) is a registered organization representing over 75 Alberta engineering firms which provide a wide range of engineering services to government and private sector clients on a project-by-project basis.

To find engineering jobs in Alberta visit APEGGA's career page and the Consulting Engineers of Alberta job postings.

The Government of Alberta’s immigration website also provides information on working as an engineer in Alberta.

Hey calgary2010,

Don't worry. Recently I completed my medicals, I asked about barcode stickers they said don't need stickers. So don't worry, anyway your file number will present in medical forms, they will take care.

Thanks,
Srikanth

Ronald young on Long Island is cheap & prompt. just a suggestion, If you are a female or have a female in your family, get a breast exam report from your gyno before you go for the medical exam, which will avoid the unpleasant experience of your wife being touched all over.

In finding out whether Ottawa processed my medical results, I did fax them at 1-613 941 5043 two weeks ago and they faxed me back within 20 mins and responded that results have been forwarded to Buffalo. Medicals had reached Ottawa around July 15.
