Any June/July applicants, Have any of you called your banks to confirm if your check is encashed yet or not. I completed 1 month today of sending my application to Buffalo but still :(.

Does anybody has this kind of situation for X-ray test? I did X-ray test this morning, the doctor called me this afternoon that I need to go back to do another X-ray from another view (i don't quite understand why) with extra charge. But if it is their fault for the first X-ray test and they re-do the same view X-ray test again for me, do I have the right to reject the extra charge (even more than the first charge)?

Folks, please comment on this. Thanks.

The X-rays are done to rule out TB OR Lung cancer. If doctor diagnose any findings in your first x-ray,which could be of any health concern, they can advise you to get another x-ray done. They have to sent the precise and accurate report to Ottawa. If your reports are of any health concern in Canada, which is a major fact of delay in PR, the doctor can even prescribe you medics to take and redo medicals later. If he asked you to redo it, it must be for your good. Keep the faith!!

is it true that our passport should have atleast one year validity ..mine is expiring in feb 2011.. do i have to get a new passport before sending to CIC..

Thanks, Tonyind and immage6000. I guess I have to re-do the X-ray test with the same view and another view. But they will charge me again for everyting. Anyway, they make the rule for the game and collect double chips from my pocket. Just hope the new test is okay.

When did you get your medicals done, and when did they send the request for your second x-ray?

Thanks.

What form of payment did you use for RPRF? Is it MO or Bank draft? I am planning to send mine soon but not sure should I use Money Gram MO (i will be able to check status) or bank draft?

Chigirl,

I did my first X-ray test on Friday and they call me back the same day for antherX-ray with more view (additional charge). I did it again on Saturday with three more views and with no problem. Luckly I have them filed this additional charge to my insurance.

So for those who are called back for another test, you may have a chance to use you insurance.

Folks, I need some guidance. My timeline is below the questions. Quick questions:

(1) After the doctor sends your medicals to Ottawa, is it expected that you send any form or letter to CIC Buffalo informing them that the medicals are done? Or, is it all done internally between the medicals office in Ottawa and CIC Buffalo?

(2) I sent the medicals in June 10th, 2010. I have not heard anything from CIC or Buffalo. Have other members who sent around the same time heard anything? My ecas still says "We started processing your application on April 26, 2010." Is this an indication that my medicals have not yet reached?

(3) After CIC sends request for passport, how long do we have to submit it? I'm going to India for 6 weeks and am worried about missing the window.

Please let me know.
