Re: PN don't need "proof of funds"

Hi

Unless the rules have changed dramatically in the past few months, you should show Proof of Funds during Landing. It depends on the I/O to check that or not. If you do not have, you will be refused entry.

Do not take a chance...

I am planning to submit application to CIC.
Just got my PCC directly from Chandigarh, India. Because chicago consulate timeline was 60 - 70 days.

My PCC is from Dept. of Home secretary & SSP office,
It is addressed to Consulate of Chicago...since that is their standard protocol....
It states that no criminal record found or pending ....OK to issue PCC....standard verbiage..

Should I submit this to CIC ?? Any members think this might rejected by CIC since it is not addresed directly to CIC.
But the matter clearly states that PCC issuance is OK

Please guide

did you tell the police authorities of your home country that the PCC are for Canada immigration? if you had told them probably they would refer them.

Yes that was stated on the request for PCC.
Actually the request for PCC was attested by the Chicago consulate....to verify my details here in US..

in that case you take those records and go to the chicago consulate and they will provide you the police clearance addressed to CIC based on the records you obtained from home country. this is what the consulate usually does. it puts a cool off period while it ask for records from home country. once they get no records they issue you the clearance. in your case you have obtained the clearance from home country and matter of getting it cleared from consulate.

This sounds a good advice...I will check with consulate...Thanks

Did you call bank to know that your Cashier check has been en cashed or you were able to check it online. I thought we cannot track down if it's cashier or certified check unlike regular check.

Please correct me if i am wrong.
