Hello everyone,
I would appreciate if anyone can please tell if we can apply for supervisa for a parent from Canada? Or do we need to apply only from the country of his/her residence? Thanks
You can apply online from Canada but will need to go to home country for stamping if the visa is issued or let CIC know that you want the passport stamped in Canada. But it is not recommended to do that as it will show weak ties to home country and willingness to stay in Canada for longer periods

Applying for super visa has to do with meeting the eligibility on LICO which can only be proved through your NOA. You need to file taxes for last year and your income should be more than the LICO required depending on the size of the family. If your friend does not live permayand does not have a permanent job it would not be possible to apply for super visa
Thanks. What about her mom applying for visitor visa? Does that still require her kid to have been present in Canada 2 out of past 5 years? And I'm sorry what is NOA? Does the tax has to be filed in Canada or filing tax in US can help here for super visa too?

Staying in Canada for 2 years is not a requirement for super visa or visit visa. NOA is notice of assessment given to you by CRA once your tax return is filed and finalized. No USA taxes won’t count has to be Canadian tax and income in Canada

Is NOA required for visitor visa? She just wants to come and visit for a few months and return back to her home country. Do you think she can get that one just based on having her daughter as PR in Canada?

Hi Guys i have a question. I am thinking to apply for my moms super visa. I see that insurance is very expensive and is coming close to $2000. It also ask us for the date when it needs to commence. With all this delays in processing i am not quite sure to select a date. How do you guys suggest me to go about it. Should i select a date or do we have any options around it??

The date can be changed anytime before your parents arrive and is pretty easy. I have changed dates 3 times since I am waiting since March without any issue

Hi group!
Quick question,I am confused about what should i indicate as tentative date of arrival in Canada for my parent's super visa application. If I apply today and given the current situation and delays,Is it okay to mention some date in November or should i give more time?

Thanks!

NOA is not required for visit visa. Yes she can apply for visit visa
I am in between jobs and hence do not have an employment letter BUT 2019 NOA filed in 2020 is above LICO. I will also have a signed promise of financial support with bank statements.

Can anyone comment if I will face issues ?

If you want to apply, don't wait until the next tax year!

I finally got my parents medical passed update today. It was a big relief as my father was referred to nephrologist and cardiologist due to slightly elevated creatinine level and early stage Ckd.
Now waiting for the final steps. Anyone got a passport request or approval letter recently?
