Hello experts. I am permanent resident
I want to apply for my parents supervisa

I wanted to know if this is good time to apply for supervisa? I read news that borders are open for immediate Family members.

Also what should I upload in purpose of visit ?
Does my job position matter ?

Like my job falls under Noc C. Can I sponser my parents ?
How much fund is good to show ?
$ 15000 is it fine?

I also want to know which box i can use to upload my bank statements & savings and my parents bank statements ?
Have you looked to see if you qualify? Do you have an NOA that shows you made LICO?

Did you only move to Canada in 2020 or at the end of 2019? Do you have a spouse who has been living in Canada for longer? If not, you don’t qualify for a supervisa?

Hi - According to CIC Website it says :
have medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is:
  • valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
  • at least $100,000 coverage
  • have proof that the medical insurance has been paid (quotes aren’t accepted)

Does that mean that insurance is not required after year 1, if the stay is continuous? Insurance is not mandatory for year 2?
They need coverage whenever in Canada under their supervisa.

Hi All,
I am planning to apply for supervisa for my parents and have the following queries:
1)My father is retired and mom is working. My brother is a PR in canada too. How should we should show tries to home country (as both of their kids are in canada) and my mom will have to leave her Job when the visa gets approved?
2) They don't have stable funds in their accounts, but have Provident funds.
3) I am well above the LICO and can support them both.
Do i need to show any financials from my parents side?
Looking forward to your response........Thanks!!!!
1. Do they own a home in their home country? Property? Do they need to return home to have access to a pension? These are the things they can use as ties
2. They should include whatever forms of savings they have but your savings amount and income are more important for the time they spend in Canada.
3. They should include their financials but for a supervisa versus a TRV your financials have more weight. They are still temporary visitors so they should show they have some funds when they return home.

Thanks Canuck78! Yes they own a house.for the savings. How old should the funds be ( would 3 months old funds be acceptable?) and also do they have to submit their tax documents as well?...thank you :)

Longer amount of time in their account is best. There is no point in suddenly transferring a large amount money in their account. The money in their account needs to be realistic based on their current situation. Would looking at the application guide but if you have a price assessment and deed that should be fine. As I mentioned previously your financial situation is most important.

I'm trying to apply for supervisa for my mom. But I have some concerns about it. Would appreciate your advice,

1. My last years NOA is below LICO. Is it okey if I submit employment letter (with salary details) & pay stubs?
2. I have got a permanent job and started working from last month, with an annual salary just above the required LICO minimum. Is this okey?
3. Have funds about $25000 in my bank account here. With another $10000 in my moms account. Is this sufficient to support point 2 above?

Thanks in advance

Hi Everyone
I applied super visa for my mom (mother-in-law) . Below is the timeline:

File submitted online : February 25, 2020
Already had bio metrics done so not needed.
They asked for medical: March 17, 2020
Medical done: May 17, 2020
online accounts shows May 17, 2020:You passed the medical exam.

After that we didn't get any response/update .Any idea how long it is taking nowadays ?

Can anything be done to speed up the process as we want her to be with us before Aug 04 if possible ? (my wife is pregnant and she is due on Aug 04 )
Thanks in advance

I had submitted a Super Visa application for my parents in March right before the restrictions. I had no updates on the application since. Until they announced on the 9th of this month (June) that immediate family members are now exempt from travel restrictions even without an essential reason for travel. The instructions was to send an email to IRCC with proof of relationship and some info about the application (details and email address are on IRCC website). We did, and shortly after sending email we received a Medical Request.. then yesterday we received Medical Passed.
Did you send an email to state that they are exempt?

Thanks a lot for the suggestion . No i didn't send email thinking that we are permanent residents and according to IRCC She doesn't need written authorization if the immediate family member who is a Canadian citizen/Permanent Resident . but after reading your reply i have sent an email to IRCC thinking that it might speed up the process as it did in your case . Hopefully we both get passport requests soon. Thanks again for your help . I will keep you posted .
