Hello,

I mature student and I complete 1 year marketing communications program and then applied for general arts program my point was to improve further in communications, but as I am reading in the forum this is not suggested.

Have you any experience in case, where a student got 3 year work permit ?

Thanks

Hello,

If I understood you correctly, you are asking if you can get a 3years PGWP after completing a "second" 1year program after a first?

If this is correct, yes, you will get 3 years but its still dependent on the VO's discretion.

Regards

Yes, that was my question. I have bachelor's in Computer science and then took a marketing communications program but then came down to general arts program due to some personal reasons. So I'm just bit anxious now.

Thank you, I suppose I need write a reason for my choices when applying for my work permit.

Agreed with the advice above. Best to stay away from this program. Trend over the last few years is that this results in a shorter PGWP.

What school are you attending?

I've already taken started my course and in my second semester. I attend St.Lawrence, would it be wise to apply for PGWP or do another course for one more year.

Doing GAS is outdated and has been dumped. It's no longer the trend and is a gamble since some officers target and reduce the PGWP length.
I did a course in Marketing communications and then took a GAS course, how much would it be reduced to if at all. Thank you.
