Hi friends,
I've been in love with my spouse for almost two years. I left my home country and settled in canada. then we got married while I'm here and she is back there at my home country. I have every legal and certified documents confirming our marriage (including Governal Marriage certificate that is registered at the national civil record at my country as well as Family book)... but I wasn't able to attend the wedding due to security troubles back home)... Have you guessed?!!! yes!!! I'm from Syria...
Now I want to apply to sponsor her.. and I was wondering if these documents would be enough? I have tons of watsapp, viber and skype communications between us.. but unfortunately no photos together at all :(

Canada doesn't recognize weddings by proxy. If you weren't there for your wedding, that's going to be a problem.

As mentioned, proxy weddings are illegal in Canada: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02-eng.pdf
If a proxy marriage occurs at a foreign mission in Canada (the proxy is given by the foreign national and the Canadian resident is present at the mission for the ceremony), the marriage must meet the legal requirements of Canada (federal and provincial) in order to be legally valid. At this
time, no provinces permit proxy marriages; therefore, these marriages are invalid.

Since Canada will not recognize your marriage by proxy, then you are not legally married and can't apply for her PR yet.

Could she and you travel to some other country to get married in person?
