We actually do not know how they are updating the CAP. So do not worry. That too when the count is 699 and your application is received in August, You have good chances. To me, it seems all the Aug and Sep applicants will get in to the cap without much anxiety. If your application is complete you get thru for sure.

Agree with ZacMaddala. The pattern seems little unpredictable. The only good thing is that they are charging and they have charged till August though with different NOC.
So, while being a DD is safer it also asks for little patience (which I guess is little too much of asking in this situation). But nonetheless, you should be in looking at the speed and numbers available for 2173.

Hi , I would suggest you to kindly wait for Express Entry to start in Jan'15. As by now, certainly the cap for 2173 should be filled. Rest is at your convenience.

I am NOC 2173 from Pakistan, 23rd july applicant. I wrote Islamabad as my VO office though now i get to know that London is the VO for Pakistani applicants, So, cause of this wrong VO, can CIC reject my application?

My app for NOC 2173 reached CIC on 14th Oct. I'm very much worried that I can fallwith in CAP limit. At the same time, I have 2+ years expereince in database handling in both SQL Server & Oracle.
My Question is:

1. Is it possible to apply for 2172 even if we applied for another NOC?
2. what is the possibility, if I apply for 2172 within 5days?
3. What is the possibility to fall within CAP for 2173 - October 14th receive?

You may try. But you must be ready for either file return with status "Cap reached" or something. Who knows the cap of 699 may be updated for the files received till Nov 6th. It may not be the case that all the 669 are CC charged. But all these are assumptions. If you dont have a problem of waiting and file return send it and also be ready for express entry.

To be honest, the chances are very less that cap for 2173 would be open by Oct 16. However, I would suggest you to keep your docs for Canada Express Entry starting Jan 2015.

Do not give up. CIC may be counting the highly applied NOCs like 2173 in a different way. So we dont know till which month or date they counted. So try be cool until you get a status.
