Is that actually stamped in your passport somewhere?

Did you say on arrival that you wanted to stay for six days and get a visitor's record? Why book such a short trip if you knew you wanted to stay for two weeks to begin with?

We only booked 6 days because we didn't expect our money to last as long as it has, and usually it's 6 months without a visa, so we only booked 6 days to start with and then we were going to go on from there.

No, the passport only has the date that we entered the country, we got a certificate that says that our stay is valid until Jan 26th for bad weather purposes, but that's it.

It seems strange to get a visitors record when coming for 6 Days from a visa exempt country. Did border official say why they were giving you a record?

Last time I came I left voluntarily as the person who I was coming to see didn't turn out to live in the country and i couldn't get in contact with them when i had arrived, and I was on the assumption I would be staying with them, so I didn't have a hotel etc,so I left voluntarily after I was denied entry for this reason, this was 3 years ago and they stopped me this time because of it, and we only got the 6 days even though we said we may stay longer depending on money. We brought enough for about 3 weeks if it was spread out, and we still have enough left.

How important is it for you to be able to visit Canada in the future? If it's important, then I would personally leave at the end of your six day visit. You were given a six day visit because the officer has concerns you will overstay / aren't a genuine visitor. Since you were refused entry to Canada the list time you visited, I believe it's important to do exactly as you've been instructed this time and leave at the end of your six day visit.

You could try to extend your visit. However this may not go over well with CIC and could complicate future visits.

Ultimately it's your choice.

Where did you get the certificate though? is that something they provided to you when you arrived? Like in customs... or was that on your visitor visa?

Hope you are able to work something out, I agree with the above responses though about it complicating things if you want to come back again.

Sorry for late replies people.

Basically about 3 years ago now I was rejected entry into Canada and had to leave voluntarily, the agent at the time said the incident was not my fault but they couldn't allow me in as I didn't have sufficient funds etc plus what I said a few posts above.. So this time I went with my mother as a birthday gift for her, we/I got stopped at secondary inspection regarding last time, and the agent this time said that he would give us just the 6 days, and that this was a "clean bill of health" from Canada, towards me, in what I'm assuming means future visits should be fine. We left after the 6 days and are back in the UK. Since it was January when we went, we hit the bad weather and we couldn't go to Niagara falls, my mother also fell ill early into the trip and we couldn't do half the things we planned, so we are looking at going back in October this year.

Now, when I got back to the UK, I thought I would look for employment in Canada (I really loved it lol) and I've found a company who are trying to get an LMO for me. My question regarding this is, IF my contract/LMO is rejected, would this effect any future visits? I.E, if my LMO gets rejected, and me and my mother go in October, could this be a red flag for them as to not let me in for another vacation?

I've currently got a job in the UK which won't be ending any time soon, and if we go back in October (if my LMO is rejected) I'll have a letter from my employer, return flight tickets etc, will this still be ok for going back?

Thanks for the help guys.

As I understand it, the company applies for the LMO after they have done all their required advertising and continue to advertise until the LMO is granted. Until approved your name would not be included in the LMO application.
