Hi..

Question:
I have 24.5 months of Canadian full time (37.5 hrs/week) work experience with two different employers.
1st employer - 11.5 months
2nd employer - 13 months

But, I got only 35 points ( with spouse). Could it be 46 points for 2 years ?

Please let me know if anyone has the same issue, if so, also pls let me know how get rid of this. i.e. call CIC or do make any changes??

provide your tenure details from each employer with start date and end date

1st employer:
1st of Oct, 2012 to Jan, 31, 2013
Feb 18, 2013 to April, 24th, 2013
Aug 6th, 2013 to Jan, 31st, 2014

2nd Employer:
1st of Feb, 2014 to 28, Feb, 2015

Not working from 1st of march, 2015

Looking at the details provided above, you've got points only for 1 year because points for Canadian work experience are to be awarded only for "continuous" work experience, i.e., without any break. So effectively, you are not getting any points for the time spent with the first employer.

Thank you Auone.. dint know about "Continuous" thing and just checked CIC web site and where it tells ""Your skilled work experience does not have to be continuous but it must total one year of full-time work altogether""

For eligibility of CEC, it's not necessary to have continuous work experience inside Canada. However, to gain points in your EE profile, you must have continuous work experience inside Canada.

Thanks again Auone - doubt cleared.

EE New way of killing points for PGWP holder's...

As per your details:
from the 1st employer you have only 10 months exp. You just need to wait for another 2 months for 46 points.
Till then chill out, your hard earned points are not going anywhere.

FYI. I have the below data and got 46 points:
1. feb 2012 - dec 2012 = 10 mts
2. apr 2013 till date = 23 mts.
3. in july 2015 I will have 56 points ***.

Hey Rams.. Pls have a look when you have time.. and post your thoughts

1st of oct, 2012 to 31st of Jan, 2013 --> 4 months completed

Feb 18th, 2013 to 24th, April, 2013 --> ( 2 weeks in feb, 1 month of march and 3 weeks in April i.e. lets assume 2weeks in feb and 3 weeks in april fills up for 1 month)

August 6th to Jan31st - ( lets take 2 weeks in august and total of 5 months from sep to Jan)

Total = 4+2+5 months = 11 moths

Its just my calculation and may be deadly wrong but EE online application is NOT "date specific" then it should like below:

10/2012 to 01/2013 - 4 months

02/2013 to 04/2013 - 3 months

8/2013 to 01/2014 - 5 months

In any case, I have 24 months of experience i.e. 2 years ( i.e. including 2nd employer's 13 months)

Hi
Does Canadian diploma holder need back home credential evaluated?
I have a canadian diploma and a degree from back home. I filled my EE profile and I got full mark in my profile for my degree without evaluation done. Do I still have to do it or let it be like that?

10/2012 to 01/2013 - 4 months : OK

02/2013 to 04/2013 - 3 months : OK

8/2013 to 01/2014 - 5 months: NOT OK because of the break in month if it was started from 5/2013 then system would have calculated

In any case, I have 24 months of experience i.e. 2 years ( i.e. including 2nd employer's 13 months)

Does the break means you din work ??? If you have worked anywhere else , please include that as well.
Because in my case, I returned back to India and worked for 3 months there and came back to Canada .
This means I don't show a gap in my work history.

Yes, for a month I was in India and another two months looking for job
