Online Visitors visa processing time

Hi guys can you share your timeline about online visa processing for TRV. Thanks. Im worried I wont be able to catch my flight on July 6. I applied June 6 and no reply yet

Thanks tajinder107, i checked the website and it says 20 days for Riyadh office but I really dont know if that means online application or paperbased via vfs
 
It took my wife about 21 days to receive the request for passport. After everything was said and done, it took about 26 days from the submission of the online application to receiving the passports back from Riyadh. This was back in May.
 
I saw elsewhere that you were applying for a study permit, if that's the case, the turn around time is 5 weeks.

Thank u simplyaddo for the info. The 21 days ure saying, does that include saturdays and sundays? Or fridays since im here in riyadh
 
21 days are working days.It does not include Saturday or Sunday.

And also it is an average time.It can be anything between 19 to 40 working days.

21 days in total, not just weekdays.

That's incorrect. CIC has already moved to calendar days and does not show estimations based on business days.
 
Hi everyone,

I have a question on the application status in CIC page. My Friend recently applied for her Visitor Visa (TRV) online from India and she was asked to submit the passport by CIC. She did that last Tuesday and looks like VFS Tracking got updated Friday Afternoon as:

Visa application, tracking ID No.XXXXXXXXXX – Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office XXXXXX, on 24/06/2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre and is ready for collection. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website


And on the CIC Website it shows 'Approved' here:


Application number Application type Applicant's name Date submitted Details Messages Action
XXXXXXXXXX Online Application XXXXXX May 31, 2016 11:50:37 p.m. EDT Approved Read Check status and messages

On Clicking check Status and Messages, everything is the same as before.

Does this mean her application has been approved? She is getting nervous as she need to wait until Monday afternoon collect the passport.

Yeah I know that CIC already move to calender days.... but it does not looks like a case with visitor visa.....

I am mentioning here as per the trend going on.... with the Visitor visas....
