Hi all,
I am a PR in Canada and want to apply for a visitor visa for my parents. Can I apply online through my online account and submit my parents' application from my account? Or I have to make a new account under their name to submit their application form?
Thanks,

I have applied my parents visa in My PR CIC Account , what happens next . I was not aware that it should be applied in separate account .
Should I cancel it or this is the correct process , Please advise what are the next steps to be taken ?

I am interested,

Do you need to open 2 accounts, or 1 account for the parent that will be the main applicant? So, there is 1 application fee or 2 to be paid?

One account, one fee per person.

Ok, so I added another family member on the application, now the additional fee and fields to upload documents have appear.

I guess, this is the way to apply online for parents.

In the account I created, the parent who is not the main applicant has fewer fields in the online application, for example no "travel history" placeholder. Is this normal?

Each applicant (main or not) should submit an individual IMM5257.

New account.

Hi there,

I am a PR in Canada, I opened a new account under my father's name to apply visitor visa for my parents, my father is the main applicant and my mother is the family member applicant in the his application. CIC checklist required 2 representative forms, one is Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) and another is Use of a FAMILY MEMBER Representative (IMM 5713E). Should my father be the representative in IMM 5713E which means he is the main applicant (i.e. family member representative of my mother), and I be the representative in IMM 5476, which means I am representative of my father and since he is the family representative of my mother, I am therefore the representative of my mother?

I see that there is "signature of spouse for sponsorship application" in IMM 5476, is this where my mother can sign in IMM 5476 to agree that I am the representative of her? Is this kind of application a "sponsorship application"?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,
I'm in same situation, a PR in Canada and applying TRV for parents residing in India. I've filled IMM 5713 with father as representative.
Now, should I submit from my account and fill myself as a representative in IMM 5476? Or use their account directly?

Regards
Robin

Their account and skip the 5476. No need for that unless you want to.

You are correct about the 5713E. In my opinion, skip the 5476. No need to use that form unless you want to.
