Online TRV submitted, no update on CIC account

Hello,

I applied for Visitor Visa through online process. My CIC account shows my application is under open since Nov. 28th 2013. I was expecting to have the status changed till now but it seems there is no activity based on other people posts. Have few doubts, if anyone have more information on these:

a. Where does online application being processed. My current location is Los Angeles CA.
b. Will there be any information with local Visa office if i plan to make a visit to local Visa office in LA.
c. Any contact number/ email address where i can send an email requesting more information on my case.

I applied on 13th of Nov, still no updates, they have not requested my passport yet!!

Hi All

I had applied for my wife's visa (TRV) online on 3rd December, 2013. The processing times were 7 days for an online application at that time. I booked my tickets for 9th January, 2014. I did not get the passport request yet. Anyway I gave up on her visa here in Canada and decided to travel without her visa because getting a passport request, passport reaching Ottawa and getting back the passport with the stamping before 9th January is definitely impossible.

My question here is :
Can we send her passport to Indian visa office for stamping from India in case if the passport request comes from CPP - Ottawa in next few days?

Please help me guys as I don't want to spend 2-3 days of filling the applications and spending another $ 150 towards her visa again.
