Online TRV application submitted - November, 2013 -Processing time (US Resident)

Applied: Nov 19th (Online)
PP request: Nov 27
PP reached LA consulate: Nov 29
PP mailed back: Dec 5
PP received: Dec 7
It took approximately 20 days.
Note: I feel the below things played a major role in my application. Improper documenting may result in them searching for more information and it could result in delay.
1. Employment letter or school admission and Pay stub (It will show u will not stay in Canada after visiting )
2. Reason for travel (Visa appointment / Invite letter.. etc.,). I would suggest you to write a cover letter explaining ur purpose in addition to the documents.
3. EAPP in the address section when you send passport
4. Unmetered return envelope

I applied online on Nov 10th to the LA consulate and haven't received any updates in 2 months! I ended up spending 500$ to reschedule flight tickets. Did not receive any response to email/case status request. Fax lines are always busy or out of order.
