@joseph - Any idea about, The college has suggested me to apply through "OCAS"

"Internationals may apply online through OCAS (ontariocolleges.ca). If using this method all international documents must be assessed to a Canadian standard prior to submission to OCAS (see attached list of agencies)"

Could some one help me understand whats the difference between applying through OCAS and directly to the college???

And also as I have about 6.5 years of work experience. Ive asked them whether that can be an added advantage - So they told me apply for PLAR and has given a form to fill up and there is a service fee for that ... Need some info on this too...

Thanks,
Prathap

Hi Man, you talking about applying to universities or applying for a Visa...
If it is for Visa, I have no idea... Let some relevant friends help you...

Applying to colleges in ontario... Not for the Visa... Im still stuck in the college level itself... :D

Thanks,
Prathap

well I guess some people were facing problems when going for online application
however some people very successful in their attempts....

but what I learned is that paper application will require more documentation compared to the online system.

can any body copy yhe link here for online apply of study visa............

I called vfs to enquire about the online application. they told me to check with CHC in delhi. I have written a email to them.once I have the answer I will update you guys.

As an IT guy, I would suggest you to apply online. Processing by paper need time to send and then another time for entering your data into the system. Moreover, when you enter your own information into the online application, it will be more accurate than others entering yours. So, it can avoid unnecessary mistake.

Paying the fee using credit card will also keep the processing time shortly. Your payment will send directly into the Canadian Receivable account just in time. Paper based application need you to issue a bank draft that will need 3-4 days for processing (to cashed by Canadian Receivable).

My understanding that VFS is a third-party that assigned by visa office to collect your documents then enter it to the system. That is way they put additional charge for the service. So, way should pay for something that we can do easily.

To apply online you will need to scan all required documents then upload the scanned file when entering your application. Keep the original document with you, I am pretty sure the visa office will ask you to bring the original documents when attend an interview.

Good luck for the application.

/b

Nops. it is mostly because online application system started on 15th dec.... and at that time I found no one applying from Pak.
However some ppl from IND and SRI were successful in their attempts.

I emailed CHC ISL office but received no-reply till today :(
a person named "MUSHROOM ROOM" was also facing similar sort of difficulties! (i think he also filed ppr application at the end)

Hi

From Pakistan if you apply online most probably Canadian High Commission would ask you for documents by mail too.
so my suggestion is to apply by mail not online..

Good Luck..
