Online Student Permit Passed Processing Time

Dear all,

Kindly note that I have applied for an online “Student Permit” on May 12, 2016 and I have provided my biometrics on the next day May 13 (at Beirut - Lebanon office). I still have not heard back and my application has not been updated with a decision on system. I contacted the CIC office in Beirut, they informed me that all online applications are processed at Ankara's office and the processing time should take 20 days (more or less). It has been more than 7 weeks now and no clue!!!

Anyone on the same boat?

i applied from Malaysia and it was 9 weeks processing time. In April 4th. Until today no updates after the medical passed. Apparently our visa offices are different, but its obvious that this is the case with the cic around the world nowadays.

Apparently, it is the case. However, I keep wondering why the CIC offices are not mentioning that in their Processing Time updates. They are updating their system every week, but with normal processing time (2 and 3 weeks) when it is taking way more and even more than paper-based applications!

I was not asked for a medical examination... I guess because it is not required for my country.
