Hey guys,

Hoping you can help me out with this as I hope my last 3 hours haven't gone to waste. When I printed out the completed calculation I see that the # of days column (to the right does) not equal the actual time spent away.

For example, I was out of the country from 18th November 2012 to the 25th November 2012 which should equal 6 days (not counting day of arrival and departure). The column to the right says only 3.0 days.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this how the calculator credits me for my temporary visa status?

Any guidance would be appreciated,

Love this forum although its the first time I've posted :)

It is because everyday you spend as a temporary resident during the eligibility period and before becoming pr is counted as 0.5 (half day)

Great that makes sense but the way it comes out at the end is a little confusing. I didn't see this noted in forms or online but maybe I overlooked it.

Thank you for getting back to me and putting my mind at ease.

Hello everyone, can I please seek advise to the experts...

On the Online Physical Calculator, it says that my eligibility period is Oct 18,2012 to Oct 18, 2017.
I came to Canada last March 2013 as a worker and became PR on June 2015. There is a question that says, did you leave Canada between your eligibility period? I was not yet in Canada on Oct 18, 2012 until March 2013, so should I state the date and place/country where I was during that time as absence from Canada?

Thank you!

Even though you were not in Canada until march 2013 during the 5 year period, you still need to list the absence from oct 2012 to march 2013 as well.
