Hello all,

Mine occupation is of the of NOC's which does not qualify for CEC as of today. However i have already paid the fees online and was about to send the application next week (Now everything went in vain ) so wondering how can i request to refund that amount?

How do I request a refund if I paid my fees online or with a fee receipt form (IMM 5401) at a financial institution in Canada?

You may request a refund in one of the following three ways:

1. E-mail (CIC preferred): HPM.PROD@cic.gc.ca
2. Mail: HPM Refunds, 300 Slater Street, JETN - 5th Floor, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K1A 1L1
3. Fax: 613-952-6399

Your request must include the following information:

Your name;
Your current address;
Scanned copy of the receipt or the receipt number;
Date of payment;
Total payment amount;
Reason for refund request; and
If you cannot provide the receipt number, include: the first two and the last four numbers of the credit card used for payment, the card expiration date, and the cardholder’s name.

I am in the same position as veeraa (paid online on Nov 5, but did not yet send application). I will send my application tomorrow. Do I still need to ask for a refund for the online payment and attach a certified bank cheque (etc.) with my application. Or do you think I could just leave it since I paid online BEFORE Nov 9? Thanks
