I am in Canada and have to make the online payment for RPRF for my sponsored wife under family class. Now I have only a VISA Debit Card of TD Bank, Canada and I do now have any Credit Card. So I just want to know that whether I can make online payment thru my debit card or not. As on the site it is mentioned credit card only.

Pls reply as it is very urgent and she has to send the passports alongwith this fee reciept.

Pretty sure that it needs to be a credit, not debit card.

Paid mine last week and did not see a debit option.

you can not pay with a debit card. On the website, it states:

a Visa®, MasterCard® or American Express® credit card,

so - debit card is not an option. However, it doesn't need to be your own credit card. So if you don't own one, you can ask a friend/somebody from your family to pay online for you, and then transfer the money to them later on. The receipt you get asks to put the name of the credit card holder, but also you can add to which application it pertains - so as long as you add the file number, UCI and full name of sponsor and applicant, it will be fine, it doesn't matter that it's not your name on the card.
Good luck,
Sweden

I am in the same problem with you as we are currently waiting for our credit card. We did extend our visitor visa with a prepaid master card or visa card and it actually accepted it. We are now planning to do the same with the sponsorship application only that we cannot buy a prepaid master card or visa(bought from post office) for more than 500 dollars. We are now thinking of buying three cards: Hope this will help you or someone correct me if I am wrong somewhere...(we stay alone and just arrived in Canada recently so we do not have much friends who can trust us to the point of allowing us to use their cards).

We are planning on paying separately for each fee ie we shall buy a prepaid master card of:
$200 to pay for our OWP ($150) separately and obtain a separate reciept from it
$100 to pay for application fee of $75 and obtain a separate receipt for it
$500 (rechargeable visa card) and pay for the sponsorship application of $450 and obtain a separate receipt for it.
We shall then pile all of the receipts together in one envelop or as arranged for the application.

We thought of requesting for the form to pay at once at a financial institution but we do not know how long it will take to get one and at this moment we are rasing against time as my visitor visa is expiring in the next 10 days though I have sent for extension and I am still waiting. We are however planning to include the sponsorship application ASAP before the visa expires to cover for anything that might be an outcome of the extension... :(
