I applied for may intake. And on 20 march i applied for visa but due to corona virus i did not able to give biometrics. And then my univeristy deferred my intake to september. But till now, vfs not opened due to pandemic. So can i take online classes for september without study permit approval? If yes then can i will be eligible for post graduate work permit?

No you still need a study permit to attend whether in person or online Otherwise why would anyone bother getting a permit at all.

Correcting myself and although I have not found the official statement but here in the CICnews page maintained by same company that manages this forum it implies you can start the course online without a permit but Time spent without a permit would not count for a PGWP.

Suggest though you double check with your college as well that they will enrol/ register without a permit

If anyone else reading can find the official IRCC statement.

Some VFS/VAC are slowing opening again in some countries but in any case would expect IRCC to be aware that biometrics could be delayed.
