BadGamer6, do you think one can confirm with "officer at local office" if UP was approved also at that level?

Or you can only gauge by how quickly things are moving?
I don't think anyone can confirm it . But when I called on Monday they told me I should call back in a few days to see if it has been accepted, doubt that would be any of help.

hi guys.
me and my wife gave the online test on 12Feb 2021. this morning the ECAS status shows dicision made for both of us. but our 6 year old son status is still in progress.
can anyone please tell me
1. how long after decision made does one get oath invitatiin now a days. my office is surrey
2. do we get oath invitation via post or email. our previous communicatiin was via email.
3. is it normal to for child applicatiin to be delayed.
thanks

1) there's no specific waiting time, you can be lucky and it's very soon, or not so lucky and it's not so soon...
2) email for most people.
3) its not delayed. There's usually no decision made for the kids on a family application. It will stay in progress but the whole family will receive an invitation for the same oath ceremony.

Excuse me everyone,
I have a question about how you guys prepared for the citizenship test, do you need to memorise the whole book hardly?

Is the citizenship test only base on “discovery Canada”? Or it would have something which relates with the current news ?

Thanks!

I haven't done the exam but as a preparation I choose some online platform to practice. I don't think we have to memories the book hardly, but for sure we need to note the main points. I usually use https://www.citizenshipsupport.ca/ . It cover all the chapters and have more than 600 questions, but the only downside is, you have to pay for it. I don't think its necessary. I also use other online platform like
https://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/
https://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/new-to-canada/citizenship.jsp
https://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/

The test will be based entirely off the book, only thing you need to know beside the book is the blanks that you need to fill out yourself in the book (the provincial legislature).

I would rather wait than potentially make my wait longer. Just my 0.02.
Yes, that makes sense. Though a lot of suggestions are to withdraw and reapply, which seems rather cumbersome as you say.
