Only god knows :) Everything went fine.. no technical issues
Photo Ids came well. BUT TEST NOT RECORDED for no reason.
Only Thing I can think of is both me and my wife took test one after the other with a gap of 10 minutes. First my wife and then me.
apart from that I can’t find any other reason.

No worries ! You have a second test invite and get over with it....

All the best with next steps !!

Completed Test yesterday. I am Mississauga Applicant. Application received on May 27 2019.

On my portal test invite and test results are not updated yet. Any reason for this or its the norm?

It's the "new" norm I would say. No online test invitation/interview/oath invitation are reflected on ECAS.

Thanks for sharing. I'm guessing this means they are updating to "Decision Made" for 100% of regular cases in that week?

Not sure if anyone posted this but, IRCC's website is update today (March 24) regarding their processing timeline.

If you HAVE NOT received your AOR: - They are now sending AORs to applications on the Week of January 21, 2021.
If you HAVE received your AOR: "We are currently finalizing most applications received between Mar 31, 2019 to April 6, 2019"

I meant cases where there are no reasons that prompt extra questions. Clearly IRCC continues to hand out DM to lots of 2019 applicants (and even a few early 2020 applicants), not just 31 Mar to 6 Apr 2019 applicants. So I'm wondering what the special significance of that week is?

Not necessarily. It's for reference only. Individual case may vary.

I have no idea. The entire process is extremely random right now. Even they mentioned that week, there is still a considerable amount of people still waiting to get their test invitations BEFORE that week. And there is also a considerable amount of people submitted after that who already completed the test.

Just trying to read the tea leaves, lol. Somebody sitting in IRCC is drawing a clear line, by saying they are currently finalizing "most applications received between" 31 Mar to 6 Apr 2019. But who knows, that person could just be kidding around

It's all a myth right now lol. If you look at Dec 2020 tracker, a few who have completed the test AND has been called for interviews. Yeah that makes sense... for sure...

Online citizenship applications (Dec 2020 and later) appear to be moving as a separate queue. Trying to understand the IRCC from the outside, is like trying to figure out why a toddler changed her mind.

It appears so yeah. :D I'm just glad that I got the interview request, at least I know my file is getting somewhere.

I am seeing 3 approaches of IRCC to address the backlog. Think of it as a piece of large cake which has been divided into 3 large slices (still cant take a bite as those slices are still big enough..lol):

1- Online applications:

These are processes separately so to not to pile it up. That is why we are seeing Dec 2020 applicants getting test and interviews. IRCC set a end line of November 2020 which goes to the next 2 slices (number 2 and 3 below).

For cake lovers, this section is the tempting part of the cake (those strawberries? Almonds, pineapple you see on the cake?)

2- A time based approach (those timelines we are seeing about processing applications between March to April 2019), or call it First in First Out (FIFO):

Looks like that is where the major chunk is and IRCC has set some starting point to make some progress on those old sitting applications as most are already 2 years old as of now. We are seeing many test invites, fingerprint requests from this pile.

The progress is slow and one of the reason is *if such files are in physical possession of officers* which I believe is the case, and since officers are working from home, naturally they can take limited number of client files to home.

So for cake lovers, this is the largest chunk of cake.

3- The visible section of cake, which is where Sept, Oct and Nov 2019 applications are being finalized:

As everyone has noticed, Sept to Dec 2019 applicants have been getting test invites, fingerprints, and interviews as well some Oaths.

All in all, that is the kind of trend I am seeing. You never know there may be more slices coming off the cake in coming months.

Having said that, IRCC has limited resources and limited staff. Honestly, I feel that IRCC is doing it's best to get over it and we should give them a credit for it.

For summary lovers, the trend line is :

1- Online applications processes quickly from Dec 2020 onwards
2- Work on a large chunk on FIFO basis from March 2019 to August 2019
3- Try to complete Sep 2019 to November 2020 applications in 18 to 24 months timeline

Lets hope for the best and good luck to everyone!

Are there applicants who applied after March 2020 (i.e. during the pandemic) who are NOT urgent processing and who got a test invite? Just wondering how long we should expect to wait :/

If you count the online applications - yes, there are quite a few from December 2020 that got test invitations AND some have been called to interviews. If not, there's almost none have been invited. Seems like their attention is still on 2019 at least for now.
