I want to check the status of the applicaiton, I went to WWW.CIC.GC.CA/english to check the status of the applicaton
My wife is sponsoring me under the damily class

There is a web form that I need to fill in. My wife is sponsring me so when I populate the fileds do I use my name or my wifes? We have a UCI numnber so I used that with my wifes details as they have written to her previously. This is what I get back

Your UCI is different from your wife's.

Your wife only can see sponsorship information but you have to use your UCI and your own information to log onto ECAS to check PR status.

I dont recall ever getting a UCI number - where do I get that from then.

Did you ever extend your visa in Canada or communicate with CIC before? If you did then you should have been given UCI then you can use it now for PR status check.

If you have never done anything with CIC then you should wait until VO email you and will give you UCI.

From my experience, you will receive correspondence from CIC by post/email before they actually update ECAS. but it's different for everybody it seems. The next stage for you will either be a request for more info, an interview, or a request for your passport to issue the PR.

There should be a London VO spreadsheet somewhere, similar to the one in my signature. Do a search for it and it can give you average waiting times

That's pretty standard, and it's what mine says also. More waiting ahead...

When did you submit your application? Did you try to check the status with Sponsor's UCI and information.

Most people can't see anything until SA. Have you gotten sponsor approval yet?

I am just wondering did you ever receive SA, has your transferred to London or its kept in Mississauga. Have you ever called the call centre. If you call the centre you might more information about your file
