I got the passport request today.

I have 2 queries:

1. I have got passport request for sending for me and my wife. Should I send both passports in one envelope?
2. Also I can send to NY or LA, NY is nearer to my location as I am in Virginia. So I will send to NY. There is no separate VAC fees to be paid for NY. Am i right, no other fees has to be paid while sending?

Plz reply urgently...
 
i sent mine and my wife's in same envelope. I live in Detroit, so i sent them to NY. They were quite quick.

Put both letters, passports and return envelope (i used priority express for return) and send it to NY. No fees. No other document

Applied Feb 26. Biometrics done. Got email notification a week ago. No change! Why do they send those empty notifications?
 
Chinese studying in the U.S. (F-1 status).
Jan 17, submitted online application for visitor's visa;
Mar 6, received email and downloaded the passport request letter from MyCIC;
Mar 7, sent out passport to the LA consulate using USPS priority;
Mar 15, received stamped passport in mail (self-stamped USPS priority).

Can someone help me how to apply online for tourist visa? I just checked the site and i saw there the GC KEY and SIGN IN PARTNER which is the applicant itself has none of those two. What should we do??
