Scary thought - Hopefully by 38 days they MEAN starting the application date, and NOT the date they start processing...............:(
 
I am starting to wonder if that's the reason our applications haven't been processed yet! I too applied together with my spouse. Looking around in this forum, I have noticed that majority of people receiving visas within a week or 2 of applying are those that applied alone!

Could be a reason...
It all feels like shooting in pitch dark!!!

Just curious if you got any info about your Visa?
Looks like they are processing applications submitted on Nov 11th.
Could you please reply to the post if you get any intimation from them in next 2-3 days.
 
@PizaVisa: When you send an email to cpp-ctp-ottawa-trv-vrt@cic.gc.ca you get an automated reply which says like this - Our office is responsible for the processing of temporary resident visa (TRV) applications submitted by mail for clients located in Canada and for the online submission of TRV for clients located in North America.

For Date thing: when you check the processing time it says As of Dec 27th 2013 the applications being processed are of date Nov. 11th 2013. You have to check for Processing time for application submitted online within Canada for online TRV's as Ottawa office process the same.

And yes i got an email from them saying the application is still under process.

The website now says "Working on applications submitted on November 23, 2013"

I applied on 17th. Any suggestions on what can I do?

And I applied on 15th.
Did they skip the ones that applied between 12th and 22nd? :)
I do not see any update change on my online A/C.

Also, I just yesterday only received following reply to my enquiry to CPP....OTT!
"Please note that your application is currently in process as per regulatory procedures.
Our office will contact you if any action is required from you. In the meantime, please ensure your contact information with us is up-to-date.
Should you wish to travel urgently and recover your passport, you may send us a request to withdraw your application.
Please note that you retain the option of applying for a temporary resident visa at the overseas mission responsible for the country where you will be travelling."
 
I have applied online on 16-Dec-13. No further updates on the website.

My friend & his spouse applied online on 15-Dec-13. Received PP request on 3-Jan-14.

Both of our cases are almost similar. Am not understanding the reason for the delay. Sent email yesterday and got auto reply messgae..Worried so much as i have to travel in Feb 2nd week.
 
Anybody got positive decision/emails on online applications recently?

Currently the site shows to be processing applications for "November 23, 2013".
 
Finally after waiting 2 long months, I received passport request today. I had applied on Nov 11, 2013.
Good luck to all of you guys who are waiting.

BTW, be around and let us know about your passport receiving timelines!
Also, where have they asked to send the PP to? LA VAC or Ottawa?

Also, let know if you had applied alone or with family?

Thanks for letting us know. Having applied on Nov 17th, that gives me some hope that I should receive a request within the next couple of weeks.
 
Applyd 12 January 2014, got notification 13 January to give biometric and photo to the ASC office newyork , gave biometrics in 13 January , got the biometrics confirmation on 14 th. Waiting for the next update..
