Hi all,

I am creating this topic for all the applicants who have applied in the month of April 2016 and waiting for decision yet to make.

Please post your views and experience here to help others to obtain visas.

Hi All,

I Applied for Visiting Visa (TRV) Online. I am from South India side.

Online Application submitted on 13th April 2016
Application confirmation on 13th April 2016
Transmitted on 13th April (Processing time at the moment was 14 days)

Below are the documents I have submitted online

Invitation letter (from spouse)
Financial doc (bank statement, FDs)
Ties (My child birth certificate, Property Documents, my profession)
Marriage Certificate
My Vacation notification
my spouse visit and permit
My Spouse admission Letter from college
Photographs
Covering Letter (Explaining why I am visiting and how many days I am going to stay there)
Forms provided by CIC website


Till date I have not received any updates from CIC. Please help me what to do in this situation ??????

I have applied on 13th April and I am from India. Applied online but no response from them...




One of my friend applied on April 25 and received passport request on April 29 within 4 days but I am still waiting for the updates from them.

I think it is over the Processing time, Have u approached CIC about the status on your application.

how can I contact CIC, no one gets reply from them too. I think I have to wait for few more days.

Today I sent email to question@cic.gc.ca
will wait for der reply

Hi all! Thank you for all the good work going around!

I applied online for Visitor Visa Applications of my family - Mom, Dad and Sibling for the purpose of my convocation ceremony at UBC in the month of May 2016. Following are the timelines:

21st April - Submitted the online application.
24th and 25th April were - weekend days.
26th April - Received passport request for all three of them and let me tell you that the passport request letter dated 23rd April, 2016.

27th April - Submitted passports at VFS Mumbai.
30th and 1st of May were - weekend days.
2nd May - CiC online applications portal displayed that all the three applications are approved:)
- Passport left the Delhi Visa Application Centre the same day.

4th May - Password couriered by Blue Dart to my place ( as we had paid extra INR 351/- for home delivery instead of pickup along with INR 580/- per application as processing fees for VFS)

ALL THE THREE OF THEM GOT A MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA FOR 10 YEARS :)
 
Applied on April 14th for Spouse Visitor Visa but still no response. Processing time of 19 days for me is over now.

I really do not understand how these Canadian works >:( >:(
 
Do any of you see any changes on your online status updates? Or does it just say open?

We received passport request yesterday for our online visitor application for parents. Applied on April 15th. Yours may be also on the way. Good Luck.
 
We Applied for Visiting Visa (TRV) Online for my Mother and my Father in law on same day.

TRV Status for my Mother

Visa Refused 27th April 2016

Reason:
You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:

1. travel history
2. Family ties in Canada and in her country of residence
3. Personal assets and financial status

Documents attached to the application
Invitation letter (from me and spouse)
Financial doc (my 4 months Bank Statement)
Ties (my passport)
my PR Card
Letter from my company
Her Financial doc (Notarized affidevit showing her properties details and 4 months of Bank Statement)
Photographs
Covering Letter (Explaining why She is visiting for how many days)
Forms provided by CIC website

TRV Status for my Father in-law

Application confirmation on 24th April 2016
Decision - still waiting

Applied on 13th April till no reply. Contact CIC but no response from them also. :'(
