Hi All,
How and where to select CAN+ category for TRV applications?

My parents got 6-month visitor visa in 2017 and they were in Canada for 3 months. Their visas got expired and I am planning to apply again, but not sure how to apply under CAN+ program.

Will they give visa until passport expiry now?

@Bryanna, please help

How and where to select CAN+ category for TRV applications?
There's no selection available for CAN+ processing.

You must specifically request for CAN+ processing in the invitation and cover letters + scan the previous TRV/entry stamp (although IRCC has this information). If they apply by paper then include the passports that had the TRV counterfoils + request the VFS staff to mark their applications for CAN+.

I recommend including financial and other documents to prove their strong ties even though it is not required for CAN+. And, you may want to consider paper applications instead of online.

The stronger their applications, the greater the likelihood of being issued max. validity TRVs

finally visa approved for my application (parents TRV, AOR 15 June).
visa stamped on 4th day from submission at VFS Chandigarh, duration of visa- till passport expiry (mother's passport is valid till 2026 and father's passport is valid till 2020).

Finally the TRV process is over till 2020 (parents got visa and in laws have landed already). wish all of you the best and a speedy passport request.

Hi,
My in-laws TRV got approved and the stamping is also complete.
My father-in-law's name has 4 parts in passport
First name has two parts - "xxxx yyyy" and last name has two parts "rrrr qqqq"

All applications were filled correctly and the Document Status in the online account shows full name, However, the stamped visa says
rrrr qqqq, xxxx and "yyyy" is omitted (The second word in the first name)

Note: There are no spelling mistakes, just some part is missing in the stamped visa.

It mostly looks like a space restriction, Is it something to be worried? They are travelling to Canada next week. Pls suggest if we have to do something.

@Bryanna, Please help.

Hi Guys, I have raised the TRV for my parents on 4th July, it's been processing at BangaloreVAC and I have linked application to online on 31st July, will it impact the processing time. Also any one got update on July 1st week applications?

It won't be a problem. Guess it is a space restriction like you mentioned. Nonetheless, you can email their local visa officer to clarify + your in-laws must carry a print of the visa office's reply for their travel

Thank you, I just sent an email to Visa office Bangalore (General Enquiry) and planning to carry the reply as well as the screenshot from "Document Status" which shows full name as well as counterfoil expiry date from IRCC Online login.

A minor 1% possibility if someone has failed to declare any previous visa refusals that are stamped in the passport.... or if there are discrepancies between the passport bio pages and the visa application.

I would not worry about a refusal

Hello Bryanna,

My pgwp got approved yesterday. I have applied for a TRV 2 days after my pgwp. I am still waiting for it but didn’t receive it. Shall I withdraw the TRV application and apply for a new one, this time around under worker category?

My application went into "reviewing eligibility criteria". Could anyone please tell me how many days it will take to review elgibility criteria?
