Hello guys,
When applying online through MyCIC, I was wondering if it was okay if I submitted applications for my parents too on the same account in addition to my study permit application?
Thanks!

while filling form 1294 i guess there is specific column where you need to mention if you are coming alone or your parents are also coming with you , if you mention there " NO" , there won't be any problem i guess . you are submitting two different applications.

Acc. To me every applicant submit own application you can mention their names in that column but you need to submit individual application for them .

I think you should not. The reason is because, if those applications are linked with your application on-line then the VO might think that your parents are going with you which kind of defeats the ties to home country point.

Apply for them, through a different CIC account to be on the safe side. That way they can also upload financial documents of their own.

All the applications submitted are DIFFERENT. (With different forms and application number etc.) However all the applications are under ONE account. So is this okay?

In my point of view its not okay. Do you really need to have your parents get the visa at the same time as you?

If not. Then apply for them later on.
Also on CIC it says that you can only apply for a family member who is coming with you to canada. If they are not "accompanying" you then they should apply through a different CIC account.

My parents will be accompanying me to Canada as well. Therefore they need to get the visa at the same time as me which is why I applied for all 3.

What are you going to study in Canada? Is there a specific reason for your parents to accompany you? If there's no specific reason (like, you're a minor), perhaps, the smart thing to do would be to apply for a visitor visa later, once you get your study permit approved.

I agree with jav98. Can't your parents visit you shortly after you land?
