Online Application Status not changing

Hello,
I am from Sudan and I applied for a study permit. I submitted my biometrics on May 18th and my application status is "Open" and hasn't change yet.

I used online application and my visa office is Cairo. This Office has processing time of 8 weeks as per cic. Is it normal to stay as it is for this much time (5 weeks)? Shouldn't the application status have changed to "being processed" or somethinh similar ?

I got the visa last week
I did the medical before applying
I made a different post about my approval.

For those who will ask the same question in the future, the answer is no. When you apply online, your status doesn't change from "Open" to "being processed", it stays open until your applications is approved or refused, then it changes from "Open" to "Closed"
