Online Application - Scanned Docs or Online PDF application? Need help

Hello guys,

I'm ready to submit my application online but need final consultation. I do have both versions ready to be attached : scanned and signed application and the actual PDF online application. I have not done online application before but please advise me which of these is the preferred option. My only concern with the online PDF application is that i cannot fill out other fields ( date, province, etc) and also i cannot sign it.

you can scan and sign all other documents except IMM5257E. you will need to fill out and use the validate button to generate a bar code.

once completed, save and then upload. The final electronic signature in form of your name, date of birth and country of birth will be required at the time of submission and that is the only signature you need for IMM5257E. please note, you cannot scan IMM5257E so you will need so save a validated copy with bar code

Okay perfect! So i can attach the scanned doc for Family Information then? How about the IMM5475 (Authority to Release Personal Information) and IMM5476(Use of Representative) ? These 2 does not apply to me so I'm thinking of attaching a word doc saying "NA" instead of attaching the PDF. Do you think that should be okay?

you need to redo your check list. you probably answered yes to (Authority to Release Personal Information) and (Use of Representative) hence IMM5476 and IMM5475.

you cannot submit your application without uploading the required docs so go back in and redo your check list and you should have only applicable documents for upload

I did not submit it yet twiggy so i can still make modifications. I initially answered IMM5475 but not the use or representative. I removed and uploaded the word doc saying NA instead. CIC does not have any issue with this right?

if you dont need use of representative, then remove it from the check list. they could return your application as incomplete if a required document is substituted with something else.

are you giving someone else access to apply on your behalf? if not, then just remove it

I act as a family member representative for the online application of my wife's open work permit. I filled up the IMM5713, do I still need to fill up the IMM5475 to authorize me to release her personal identification?
